N0 . This is a single component. Replacement bulbs for backup and turn signals (not amber colored bulbs). Check to see what type of bulb you have in your application. Some bulbs have a smaller metal base, while others are entirely made of glass with no metal base. These fit my John Deere X300 and LX173 riding mowers perfectly, but they won't fit my John Deere 180.
If 3156ck and 3157- do not fit, you must use 3156ck and 3157-. For your turn signal and brake bulb, use a ck bulb.
Five bulbs were delivered in a sealed package. Before putting the unused bulb away, I double-checked all of the bulbs. Everything is in good working order, and the lighting is excellent - They worked perfectly in my John Deere LX173 and X300 riding mowers. The bulb base on my John Deere 180 is different. Check your application and cross-reference to make sure everything is in working order. If your backup lights use this bulb base, they'll be perfect.
Because they are single element, I assume they are single contact, whereas the brake / taillight bulb is dual element and will not fit in a socket.

The fact that one of the interior lights in my semi is reverse polarity and the other is standard (as confirmed by a multimeter) was my primary concern when purchasing these. I've had a few 1156 LED bulbs fail in reversed sockets, which is due to the nature of LEDs, but research shows that higher-quality LEDs can use any polarity with the right 'drivers. ' br>br>In any case, I got these and decided to give them a try - They work in both sockets, as expected! I'm really happy about it. If left on, they do get hot, but not nearly as hot as incandescent bulbs. This isn't what you're looking for if you're looking for something completely cool. But you won't feel any heat if you stand an inch away from them, and you can touch them without getting burned. Images don't do them justice when it comes to brightness; they're a brilliant white, which I prefer to the almost yellow of incandescent, and far brighter than the brightest 1156 incandescent you'll find. In my application, I'd say they easily rival daylight brightness and significantly reduce eye strain. When I'm working in my truck late at night, I'm under a lot of stress. br>br>In my illustration, I've installed bright incandescent bulbs in one fixture and LED bulbs in the other. There are two bulbs required for each fixture. They're both the same fixture, after all. Plugs, internal reflectors, and covers are all the same. In my semi, they both use the same voltage, but they're on separate circuits. Even the polarity of these two lights is the same. And. Well. The distinction is obvious. And that barely scratches the surface. br>br>I'd gladly recommend them to anyone in need of an 1156 for any reason. br>br>I put these to the test in a 2015 Freightliner Evolution's dome lights (standard polarity) and front map lights (reverse polarity).
So far, these bulbs have been performing admirably. These bulbs will take the place of 1141 bulbs. In comparison to the 1141, the output color is noticeably whiter. I've attached a couple of photos that show how much light both bulbs produce. Both photos were taken with the same camera exposure settings, so you can decide which bulb is brighter. The LED lamp appears to be a little brighter than the 1141 lamp. I didn't care about the output color or brightness; all I cared about was the energy savings. These LED bulbs have a power consumption of 0. 3 amps (30 amps) 6 watts at 12 volts (voltage: 0 vs. voltage: 0 vs. voltage: 0 vs. voltage The 1141 bulbs are rated at a power consumption of 1. 16 amps (4 amps) At 12 volts, the power consumption is 8 watts. According to my tests, the voltage is 0 volts. It's fantastic to be able to power nearly five new bulbs with the same amount of energy as one old bulb. I've had no problems running two of the five bulbs for the past three hours. br>br>Update 10/15/17: I don't use these bulbs very often, and one of the five recently burned out. I'd say the burned-out bulb had only been in use for about 6 hours. So far, the other four bulbs are still functioning normally. br>br>Update on October 16th, 2017: For the broken bulb, the seller is sending a replacement. Excellent customer service and a prompt resolution of my problem.
CAUTION! WITHOUT MODIFICATIONS, IT MAY NOT 'FIT'! br>br>I'd already started a 'Return' on these because they wouldn't fit into the Back-Up Bulb socket. Our 98 Chevy Astro Van, which has a 1156 socket for its back-up lights, has up lights. Lights that go up. I was, however, super-excited. I'm not sure why they wouldn't fit, because these bulbs have the proper configurations for an 1156 lamp. (These bulbs fit perfectly in my wife's car, which also uses the 1156 bulb socket, adding to the mystery of 'why' they wouldn't fit in our van's bulb socket holder! )br>br>To cut a long story short, I had to use my Dremel tool to 'flare' the mouth openings of my plastic bulb socket holders, allowing the 'lip' of these bulbs to 'clear' and allow them to be pushed down far enough into the 'guide channel' and then slightly turned clockwise to 'lock them in. ' br>br>I'm hoping they'll last a long time and that I won't have to file any warranty claims. For the time being, they are bright and secure in place, but you should be aware that if they do not 'fit' your specific 1156 bulb socket holder, it is most likely due to a 'clearance' issue with the rim of these bulbs, and you will need to be prepared to make the necessary modifications in order for these to be inserted to the proper depth, and then 'locked in'.
I used these to replace the old light bulbs in my horse trailer, and they're incredibly bright! It was simple to install them; I simply removed the covers, removed the old incandescent style bulbs, and replaced them with these LED bulbs in my 12 volt lights. I turned them on, and they immediately powered up! I don't even need all three lights in the back of my horse trailer anymore; I can get by with just the front and back! The bulbs don't even require a battery to operate, which is fantastic! With the old light bulbs I had, the battery in the horse compartment of the trailer would be nearly dead by the time we got home by the end of the weekend if I left the lights on. I can now use the lights for over two months without having to charge the battery or plug the trailer in! If I need some LED bulbs to convert my old lights, I will definitely buy these bulbs again!.
It takes 27 watts to power an 1156 bulb. The 1141 uses 18 watts (and has the same size and socket as the 1156) br>These LED bulbs are just as bright as the 1156s but use a fraction of the power. For boondocking, I really like these. My old LEDs only used 2 watts but only provided about 1/3 of the light. This is a huge improvement. br>These light up in white rather than standard yellow, so if you prefer yellow light, you'll have to look elsewhere. Personally, I'm not sure why white isn't automatically preferred. When installing bulbs, hold them at the base or mid-rim. According to other reviewers, the bulb can come loose from the base. I didn't have this happen to me, but I did keep them at the mid-rim.
