Older cars will not be able to use the 1157 bulbs. The reason is related to the way the computers are wired. I tried using them in my 2000 Safari motorhome and they did not Checking online, I found this is a common problem with LED bulbs that cost less. It would have been better if I had purchased ones especially designed for older cars, trucks, There are some bright people but that is all there is to them. It will not be possible to turn the turn signals on. Spending money on this is a waste of time and.
Not all of the batches I ordered were built to the 1157 standard. was fighting them for quite some time. As soon as they nested in the detent, they would light up before disappearing. There was a way to get it to flash on by wriggling it. Afterward, I cleaned the new bulb and tried all 10, but I still had the same result. However, when I put in a standard 1157, it came on, stayed on, and worked as it should have. In an effort to measure the actual 1157 with my calipers, I got my calipers out. The diameter of these bulbs was slightly smaller. There was a problem with the ground due to this. It's not worth it to have flashing tail lights, even if I managed to get the lights in there.
I have updated. As for me, they refunded me in full, so if you have a problem, they will take care of it. Thanks for your help, thanks for your time and help!.
The old bulbs need to be unplugged and these ones inserted. They are about the same as the old ones. I had hoped for a brighter light. The device is still a great improvement because it consumes less electricity to operate. It's possible that you will have to add a resister to match the resistance of the old incandescent bulbs if you're using them in your vehicle. The blink rate wasn't an issue for me in my camper. A trailer connection on my truck powers both the brake light and the tail light on my camper. Rather than breaking them, I ground off the highest pins on a few of them and put a blob of solder across the two connections on the base and used them to replace the incandescent bulbs in some of the These functioned as expected and only one pin was needed to secure them. The ones I have are very bright white (not sure what color temperature they are, but probably above 5K).
My Mercury Comet S22 Convertible is now equipped with these units. I'm happy with how they look so far and the laser beams are roughly equal in intensity between the tail lights and brake/turn lights. It will be interesting to see how long these last, because sometimes those individual LED chips fail and start flickering. So far, no such event has occurred, but it will happen eventually.
thing that was wrong was that the brake light would not work when the running lights are on and you have a toe vehicle or trailer attached. You had to figure out which vehicle they are compatible with * br> They are not available for all vehicles.
All lights in the fifth wheel were replaced with these new ones, not only so they could operate at the same power level, but also so they would be brighter (temperature) and would generate less heat. Flipping the bulb around may be required to get them to work, but this is not a huge issue. My almost 90% of the cards worked perfectly, but the rest had to be thrown away. We're not too happy with the duds, but the rest of the team has been terrific.
