It's a great value for the money, and it's incredibly simple to put together. I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty, and installing this was a breeze. You don't need to be a mechanical genius, which I am not. I assumed it only came with a shell, so I purchased the bulbs and other accessories separately. However, if I misread the description, this comes with a complete set already assembled, so you won't need to buy anything separately, which is amazing considering how much mechanics would charge for something so simple. Simply remove the original shell, reconnect to the car, and replace the shell, and you're ready to go!.
My 2004 Jeep Liberty now has a functioning taillight! This is an excellent substitute! Wiring is superior to the original. For the past year, I've been changing out bulbs and sockets. This is the path I should've taken from the start! It's as simple as plugging it in and getting started. Everything is included in the package. Note: Snap in connection (very firmly) by sliding red retainer all the way to one side. Feel the "pop" and then re-enter the room. Retainer for the lock That concludes our discussion.
It was a perfect fit and used traditional lamp sockets rather than a printed circuit board, which cracks and corrodes over time as the weather changes. Because we live near the Chesapeake Bay in a humid environment, this is the third one I've replaced in the last ten years. I'm hoping this is the last one I'll ever have to replace!.
Because I only replaced one side, it appears to be original.
Hopefully, we'll be able to get rid of the jeep before then. The light is functional, but it was not built or assembled properly. The outer plastic (clear/red) did not fit together with the backing (black), leaving an open gap that allows moisture to get inside, and the wire plug was not the same as her jeep's, but I figured it out. It's functional, but I'm not entirely happy with it. Hopefully, we'll be able to get rid of the jeep before we need to deal with it again.
In a 2003 Jeep Liberty, it was a perfect fit and worked exactly as it should.
It's just right in terms of size and functionality. I intend to purchase again.
