Fasteners Unlimited (89-237A Amber Replacement Lens for Command Clearance Light

After returning from a weekend trip, I discovered all of my original lens covers had disappeared. This lens was not as secure as the others on side of trailer, so it was not a big surprise. I ordered and replaced it with this one only to find it wasn't even close to being secure. The lens was the same shape and size as others but did not snap into place. Despite all its efforts, it barely managed to hang My lips were covered in silicone adhesive, which I had to glue I gave it a 4 star because I am not certain whether the looseness is due to the fixture or lens.

The originals of the marker lenses on my travel trailer are faded and foggy, so I bought a bunch back to match them since I lost one of them. Although they seem the same as the originals, you can actually see the differences when comparing them side by side. These new versions are a little smaller than the originals in both height and width. The plastic fit much better after I heated it and bent it, and with a little trial and error I got it to fit. All the others, including the spares, were done the same way. As well, ordered some red for the rear of the trailer, which was also a bit better but required a little adjustment as well. It may be that the manufacturer uses a different mold than when the originals were made, and the dimensions are a hair out of tolerance. A better quality control system is needed.

The replacement lens for my Class C motorhome is perfect since it was damaged by a low hanging tree branch. Attaches to the existing assembly with ease. At this point, I only have the decision of whether to replace the remaining four lenses on the front so that they all look as good as.

Several camping trailers come with these markers as a direct replacement for their existing lights. Over the years, when I've washed several lenses on bumpy roads, I began placing a small bead of clear silicone sealant around the inside edge of the lens before snapping it in.
