There are fake Sylvania lamps mixed in with genuine Sylvania lamps. Make sure it's Sylvania when you buy it at a local auto parts store. Sylvania was one of the items I bought from Amazon in 2017. I bought something for another car from Walmart online and it turned out to be a fake. Amazon also had a supply of fake NGK plugs. Until you examine it closely, it appears to be OE.
Nope. That's a welding arc, right there; ) It's only 3200 K on this one. It simply has a better forward focus than the competition.

Our original bulbs lasted ten years, but when we replaced one with a Sylvania, it only lasted five months. We'll try the second bulb to see if it lasts longer, but unless something miraculous happens, I'm not buying these again.
I was let down. It was only around for a short time. I got two of them. After about an hour of use, one of the four high-beam bulbs has burned out. To get a longer life, I bought "XtraVision" instead of "XtremeVison," but these light bulbs are clearly not long lasting. They aren't any brighter than regular, less expensive basic halogen bulbs, and the light temperature is quite yellow. When I tried to replace one of the three legs, it also broke. Very let down. All of this occurred, of course, after the one-month return policy period had expired.
I wanted to replace my bulbs but didn't want to spend a lot of money or risk losing them. These bulbs are brighter and whiter than Sylvania's original bulbs. UPDATED: UPDATED: UPDATED: UPDATED: UPDATED: UPDATED: UPDATED: UP After being installed in January, one of these failed in April. The original bulbs I replaced were 15 years old, and they were still working on a 4WD vehicle that had seen it all. So far, only street driving has been used to achieve these results. UPDATED: br>br>NEXT UPDATED: br>br>NEXT UPDATED: A week after the first bulb failed, the second one went out. These babies aren't even three months old. THESE ARE FAKE SYLVANIA BULBS, DO NOT BUY THEM!.
After a year of use, I noticed that the bulbs were starting to fade and that driving at night was becoming more difficult. I went to the nearest AutoZone to get a pair because I needed them right away, and the differences between the two assemblies are immediately apparent. The Amazon product had a more rectangular housing, whereas the AutoZone product had a more rounded housing. This is supposed to be the same bulb. This hasn't had a design change in a long time, in my opinion. This is the bottom line: For your own safety and peace of mind, go to a local auto parts store that sells genuine parts. Here at Amazon, stay away from these at all costs. There is no way to know if these items are genuine or authentic, and there are no guarantees.
I expected quality from a well-known brand like Sylvania, but I received garbage. My headlights wouldn't turn on the other day, and neither did my daytime running lights. It couldn't possibly be the bulbs, I reasoned. I checked the fuses and they were all fine, as was the relay switch. I still had the old bulbs that I replaced with these new ones, even though they were still working, but I had replaced the entire housing and wanted to enjoy the new clarity on my headlamp covers, so I wanted to put brand new bulbs in. So I put on my gloves and yanked out these bulbs, replacing them with the old ones, and the lights came back on without a hitch. I went to see my regular mechanic today to make sure it wasn't something electrical, and he told me it was the bulbs that were faulty, and my car was fine; so do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars at your local auto parts store to buy headlight bulbs. I'm not sure if it's because of the manufacturer or what, but headlight bulbs should last at least six months.
Despite the fact that the reviews stated that these would not last a year, I chose these. I bought these in December, and the first one failed in August. Never before has a headlight had such a short life span. I attempted to access the product website, but it was temporarily unavailable due to malicious activity. This product, as well as the lack of support, has disappointed me greatly.
These were purchased as replacements for my passenger side headlight, which had failed. I replaced both at the same time, and they haven't even been in 4 months, and the driver's side one is already failing. Even the store-brand, low-cost alternatives lasted longer than these.
I bought this product twice, and each time one of the headlights failed after only three months. 4 months. On November 1, 2016, I made my first purchase. Late in February, one of my headlights failed, and I was pulled over. On February 28, 2017, I ordered the second pair, and as of today (June 22, 2017), another headlight has arrived. Also, I replace both headlights every time I replace one, so clearly both times I purchased this product, 50% of the bulbs couldn't last more than 4 months.
