This item was purchased to replace the third brake light on my 2016 Civic Touring. It's fine and all, but it falls short of expectations. br>Installation was a breeze: simply open your trunk, remove the old one, and replace it. br>br>It strobes 5 times and then remains solid; the strobe sequences are a little long; it'd probably be better if it only strobed 3 times and then remained solid. br>However, the bulb's brightness is a major flaw. Because the LEDs in the bulb don't do a good job of reflecting their light in the housing, you can't really say that it improves the visibility of your third brake light on a sunny day, and the same is true at night.
I was hesitant to order another third brake light strobe bulb for Honda Civic 2018 after my previous experience. All previous bulbs were too long to fit in the third brake lens because they didn't fit in the socket all the way. This bulb, on the other hand, fit perfectly in the lens, and I had no trouble locking it in! It also works well with 5 strobes and a steady red solid light afterward. I'll keep an eye on it and report back. Just in case, I'm considering ordering another. br>To all of you, I wish you safe driving!.
I fixed the third/brake light in my 2019 Civic Sport. While the brakes are compressed, the light flashes five times and then stays on. It did exactly what it was supposed to do. I'm not sure how long it will last, but it's been working for a week. There are no error codes on the dash, so it's ready to go.

This bulb is well worth the money you paid for it. br>It's bright, and the strobe-light is on. It'll be noticed if you do something like flashing. br>I bought it to improve braking safety, and after seeing it in action, I'm confident that if I need to brake quickly on the highway, anyone behind me will notice.
On the Civic, installation was a breeze, and I've noticed that when I first put the brakes on, it attracts a lot of attention. It's fantastic, and I wish I'd done it sooner.
This is an excellent product that is simple to set up.
It works well; all you need is a light dummy to do it.
