The following are my first impressions (after only a few days of use) The light bulb is of decent quality for the price, the heatsink is generously sized, and for the brake and tail light modes, the brightness had an immediate change from stock. There is, however, an excessive amount of brightness in the tail mode, leaving little change from high to low (which helps make night time braking less obvious). In my measurements (multimeter and light meter), the difference is approximately 4 times greater. Amazon is where I order most of my LED products, so I know what to expect for a $15 set of LED bulbs, and what to expect for An amber 3157 can be found at the 3157 amber store I have used colored LEDs from Oxlam before and they are very good. As such, I also expected this result when I purchased this set of LEDs. It soon became apparent that I had to replace my incandescent bulbs with red-colored diodes. It took me no time to install them, and I found out why I had to take them out of my housings right away. The following is a side note AVOID BLUE LEDS AND RED HOUSINGS to match the plastic housings. There is nothing wrong with seeing red plastic behind white and that's what I'm seeing in my housing plastic time and time again. I finally figured out that the red color of these bulbs was much pinker than what I anticipated and, because of the bulb base in which I placed the bulbs, I was unable to get them to work most of the time. In order to purchase a new set, I had to uninstall them and return them. Heat dissipation is excellent due to the aluminum casing.

So assessing the product on its own would be unfair. The bulbs are equal to stock bulbs in terms of size. The brightness and angle of the light projected is overwhelmingly better than the stock bulbs, especially when compared with them. I will update this review as soon as the bulbs have proved their longevity. There is a considerable and VERY noticeable difference between tail and brake lights. There may or may not be a difference between stock bulbs and other LED brand bulbs, however, there is NO doubt, specifically at night, that the brake pedal has been depressed. I will give these 5 stars unless they give out within a short period of time.

I was impressed by how well made these things are compared to other LED bulbs that are available at stores. The factory lights were either less bright or less powerful than the super bright LEDs in my car. The LEDs were direct plug and play with the factory This picture was taken with a tint on my car that is almost as dark as the black paint on it, so you don't see any red in my lenses and it still reflects this much light. With these only being used for a couple of months, I'm not sure how long they will last. WOW is the only word I can use.
