I wish I could say these were a significant improvement over the 12-year-old ignition wires in my 2008 JK, but I can't. br>br>Plugs, wires, and ignition coil were all replaced. I immediately sensed something wasn't quite right when the computer first booted up. My Jeep was stuttering and sputtering like it had never stuttering or sputtering before. br>br>At first, I tried using the stock ignition coil, but it still idled poorly. On the right bank of the engine, I changed the wires back to stock, but the engine is still idling rough. On the left bank of the engine, I changed the wires back to stock, and the rough idle disappeared. I didn't do each one individually because of the difficulty of routing the wires behind the engine for the left side, so I'm not sure if it was 1, 3, or 5. However, I was unable to use these. br>br>Perhaps it was a defect that escaped QC, because I know they're installed correctly. But, oh well, I'll stick to stock wires.
The information on this page was last updated on January 1, 2022. br>I had a misfire on cylinder 2 of my 2010 Jeep JKU, and upon inspection, I discovered the metal piece had come loose from the coil plastic tube, as shown in the photos. These coils lasted only 5 months on my 2010 Jeep JKU before one of them broke. I won't be buying NGK coils for my 2010 Jeep JKU again. These NGK coils are inferior to the Chinese-made coils available on eBay. The last Chinese-made coils I bought for my 2010 Jeep JKU lasted about 18 months and were significantly less expensive than NGK. br>br>In July 2021, I wrote a review. br>I had no trouble installing these on my 2010 JKU. I also used these with NGK platinum spark plugs to fix my p0300 that was randomly misfiring. More importantly, these were successful in restoring power to my Jeep. My purchase went well.
The wire set is extremely well made, and it appears to be more durable than OEM. When I first opened the box, I actually brag about how well-made these wires are. She didn't seem to mind, to be honest. br>br>Fit was excellent, and I almost felt bad about using Champion spark plugs with them.
In addition, the blue color is appealing. They are numbered, making it a million times easier to keep them in order. I would strongly suggest it. I put it in a 2007 Jeep Wrangler.
I expected higher quality cables based on the brand name, and the main issue is that they are far too short. I strongly advise you to look for something else if you have an 8 jeep engine. br>I am a mechanic, so you can trust me. Despite the fact that I am far from flawless. I've built a number of jeeps. These are not worth the money, and I would return them if I hadn't already installed them. br>It was a waste of my money.
br>br>This was a fairly simple installation. In fact, I had more difficulty removing the spark plugs. Because of their location, I had some difficulty with one or two of them. It's a tight squeeze. So far, the quality appears to be excellent, and the blue is appealing. Lol.
On a 2007 Jeep Wrangler 3, the fit was perfect.
The numbering of the plug wires was particularly appealing to me. For aftermarket wires, that's a nice touch! So far, everything has gone according to plan.
