I didn't have any problems with it

I was able to start the engine right away. A 3cyl 60 HP mariner was fitted with this. Despite the short pigtail, the runoff fires and runs smoothly (I spliced some wire on the connections to test before trimming the ends off and splicing in extra wire. ) Not sure if they have a longer one but this one should work.

Unit was replaced on a 1988 Mercury 90 hp 3 cylinder 2 stroke engine. The engine runs strong and good immediately after installation. There is no wrong way to do this. We recommend getting a tool to remove the flywheel.
