My research found several reviews and comments about quality and fit on various websites and blogs. As a retired marine mechanic, certified installer for top marine electronics manufacturers, and owner of my own business, I am familiar with marine electronics. There are numerous items that can lead an electronic component to fail and if the failure was due to something other than the power pack, it is likely that the new one will also fail. It is critical to identify the source of the failure in order to implement a lasting solution. In the second place, the wires (especially those for plugs and coils) do not fit. As it should be to hold everything in place, the fit is extremely tight. It can be very damaging to the electronics, and for that matter the entire boat, if they experience too much g-force. During an operation, even in a light chop, the forces are present. According to my experience, the old wires fit better because they are most likely original so they have formed to what they have been exposed to over the past Online troubleshooting documentation is the best that can be found and if it is followed, then an issue will not need to be fixed by relying on parts thrown at it. In all, you'll need 3 connections, 1 ground, 6 plug wires, and 6 coil wires, everything that is very straightforward, but if you have any questions you should ask or seek out the assistance Although the parts are manufactured in various places, this doesn't really matter, because even the OEM suppliers source from all over the world. CDI is a reputable company that provides excellent technical.
I had to replace original after a few hundred hours. With aftermarket parts, there is always a question of reliability, especially Chinese manufactured parts, but what else was.
It was ordered to replace my 175 that had worn out. The quality of the construction was good at the outset. Making the engine run worse was an unfortunate consequence. Missed several cylinders and a dead engine. It was a very tight fit, the connections did not attach very well to the omc coil packs. My box may have been a bad one, but still kinda disappointing.
It came with installation and troubleshooting instructions. There are many products from CDI that are very reliable.
The part was defective and it took months for the engine to be troubleshooted. Sorry to have disappointed you. Where can I find out how much I'll get.
It works flawlessly!.
Thank you I have a problem with this pack can it be fully repaired.
