Both sides are a couple of inches thick.
It gets quite hot in there. Most tapes and glues would be melted, though super glue might work. However, using screws or bolts of some sort may be the best option. Mine are simply sitting in such a way that they will not move or cause a fire hazard.
It does not come with any screws. If you buy some, you'll want to make sure they're self-contained. sheet metal screws should be tapped Just make sure the screw size matches the mounting holes. However, you probably wouldn't want to do that because drilling additional holes in the frame to mount the resistor can expose the frame to additional corrosion points, potentially weakening the area. It's usually more convenient to simply use some sturdy double-sided tape. Place the resistor with double-sided Gorilla tape and secure it with a metal hose clamp.
On my 93 S10, I did it with a circuit tester and checked one wire at a time.

LED turn signals that are blinking! I was unsure if I would be able to install myself at first, but the attached photo that I discovered proved to be extremely helpful. Because you're here and clearly willing to put in the effort to do it yourself (DIY), I'm simply passing the torch to you because you'd do the same. Instead of paying a mechanic, I was able to save $200 by doing it myself. Why pay hundreds of dollars when you can do it yourself? br>br>Editor's note: br>br> I bought these a long time ago, and they're still working! I'd like to mention that these bad boys are extremely durable!.
Load resister made this a nightmare for 2018 Jeep Wrangler JKU front LED turn signalsbr> Why? br>Connecting the load resister to the black wire and the white/black or white/red wires (outermost wires on my harness) is simple enough, but one of the taps severed my black wire, so I had to rejoin it with another wire, shrink wrap it, and retap it. So, before fully pressing down on the tap, squeeze it in stages to see if the hyperblink disappears. It only happened on one side, so it's possible that it won't happen to you. It's the equivalent of sprinkling hot sauce on something. You can't take back what you've already done if you've put too much in. br>After that, you'll need to drill a hole in 1/8" of metal to mount the resister. Regular drill bits can be used, but proceed with caution. br>Would I do it all over again? Maybe, but I'm not a fan.
These were purchased to alleviate the hyper-vigilant state I was experiencing. After I installed LED bulbs in my Ford Fusion, there was a flash. They lasted less than a week and both fried at the same time; when they stopped working, the circuit's LEDs stopped lighting. The LEDs began to work again after I disconnected the resistors (hyper-). They came on despite the flashing). I replaced them with Sylvania resistors, which cost twice as much, but everything is back to normal now. I noticed that the Sylvanias are about 50% larger than these so I assume that the Sylvanias are more robust.

I needed to replace a resistor that I purchased four years ago. In August of 2016, I installed six of these. Two front directional signals are represented by a pair. The four rear directional signals are divided into two pairs. One failed in August 2020 (the meter reads 2), and the other failed in September 2020 (the meter read 4 instead of the 6 that was specified. To dissipate heat, they were all secured to the vehicle's metal body. When switching from incandescent to LED lamps, these resistors help to eliminate hyper flashing. Because the mounting hole is right up against the shoulder of the resistor housing, even a 6 screw head cannot seat to the mounting hole, the installation of all 6 was difficult. I set it to ten. 32 and slid it into place from behind.
I ordered these, as well as a flasher module and a cable knit sweater, ostensibly for faster delivery and the use of separate boxes, and so on. Anyway, the plan was to get my new led bulbs on my Ford F150 to stop hyper flashing. So I order the items, and after going down the rabbit hole on YouTube and learning that changing the flasher module is the superior method of stopping hyperflash, I find it 4 dollars cheaper at my local mom and pop store about 2 hours later. I purchase the flasher; I do not require the resistor set as I have the Novita EP27. So I go to cancel the order, and it cancels both the EP27 Novita and the cable knit sweater that I had ordered. I'll tell you what happened. It was nice. I was going to keep it because I was thinking, "It's fall, it's getting chilly out, I'm going to wear this bad boy and floss it," but now I have no module (good) and no sweater to floss (bad), but these resistors made it through like the sperm that cracked the egg that grew into me, if you're picking up on what I'm laying down. As a result, I obtained a set to return and review. Not to mention that I had to run out in my lounge basketball shorts and almost got swallowed by the wind and gritty sand that scoured my epidermis because we were in the middle of a haboob sandstorm when I needed to grab these. My barber says I look like I've had my old skin replaced with new skin, so I'm guessing I look like that roach guy from Men In Black in the Edgar suit. There's no way to floss if you don't have a cool cable knit sweater.
The resistors did exactly what they said they would do. You must print instructions to ensure that they are installed correctly for your car's make, model, and year. I quickly located mine and linked them together. I believe they should include generic installation instructions for use with regular turn signals or two-way DRL and turn signals (two-way DRL and turn signals). wire or three-dimensional Before installing the lamp housings, make sure the connectors are fully engaged with a pair of vice grips, but be careful not to break them in the process. Also, test fit them, then make the connections, and test the correct operation of the turn signals and DRLs. Finally, make sure the resistors don't come into contact with any other plastic or wires, as they can get quite hot!.
This is a fantastic product that does exactly what it says on the tin and is incredibly simple to set up. The wire/cords are too short to mount in my Veloster without the hot metal touching something critical, so I'm only giving it three stars. It would be fantastic if the links were longer. The red plastic clips are also a disadvantage. They were all unable to function. As if it were a twig, it snapped. They're simple to replace, but they're of poor quality.
They only work if the connections are soldered; otherwise, they will make a bad connection no matter what you do. So after a few bumps, hyperflash is good one time and bad the next.
