They are not water absorbent. When you're done washing your motorcycle, grab a towel and wrap it around it, pressing hard to dry it. In most cases, this isn't necessary. If you're wondering about riding in the rain, they don't get slick.
My stock grips are about 1.25 inches in length. The diameter is three inches. They're a tad under 1 after the grip is installed. 75 inches in length
Hello, they are universal, and they will fit over Indian Handlebars.

I learned how to put them on after watching a video on YouTube. This is how it was done as depicted in the picture. Place one ziptie around the neck, then line up the rest of the zipties so that the one in the middle is the collar. Pull it down to the end of the handlebar, slide the grip on, and it'll stay put! There's no soap, and there's no fighting! Awesome. Of course, it adds width to the grip, but I've grown accustomed to it, and I'm a woman.
A CTX 1300 was recently purchased by me. It also has 7/8" grips. I couldn't get used to these things after coming from a big old cruiser with kuryakyn grips. My hand cramped up after even a short ride, and I tried adding a crampbuster, but it didn't help because it slid out of place on the (in my opinion too skinny) stock grips. br>br>I got these a week ago and they've already made a huge difference. The crampbuster (though largely unnecessary now) doesn't slide around nearly as much, and the grips now feel like they're a normal width for normal sized hands. If you're used to chunky grips, these are a must-have in my opinion. br>br>I can only speak for my own application when it comes to installation issues. I propped them up against the regular grips and wrapped electrical tape around the grip I needed to cut. Cut with a sharp knife, starting with the end I cut, which I used to go onto the bars first because it was a little rough. On the inside of the grip puppies and the grips themselves, I rubbed a mixture of water and dish soap. I expected to have to work hard to get the CTX's grips on because they're rubber. It took less than a minute per side to get them over the bar end weights and then twist and push them. Voila, it's on, and it's done with very little effort, to be honest. br>br>These items saved me a lot of time and effort when it came to changing the grips on my bike; otherwise, I would have had to sacrifice my grip heaters and replace them with aftermarket grips to alleviate the discomfort I was experiencing. I didn't have to give anything up because these took care of me. There's also the added benefit of a simple installation. I'm a very content man. br>br> br>Stay on the bright side, people!.
They're just grip pads; they can't possibly be that good. ' I was sorely disappointed with myself. They're fantastic! First, I recently purchased a new bicycle and have been experiencing numb hands after riding for a while, which is extremely irritating. Second, despite the fact that I have large hands, the brake lever is simply too far away for 1-handed operation. It is possible to use one finger. I was considering getting a new brake lever to close the gap between the grip and the lever, but these worked perfectly! First, I rode for about 40 minutes with no numbness in my fingers. Second, it improved the comfort of my grip by adding just the right amount of diameter. Naturally, the grip is extremely soft, resulting in no numbness. br>br>It was so simple to put them on! It is only a 6-minute drive. They slid on in 10 seconds after being soaked in 8 oz of water with a teaspoon of dish soap. And, even though I have mechanical cruise control on the throttle side, I didn't need to trip them at all with my bar ends. In any case, it's a fantastic product that has solved a slew of issues!.
I just installed them on my Vulcan S, and everything seems to be working fine so far. I have small hands and was looking for a way to add some comfort, and these don't add too much thickness to the stock grips, so they don't feel oversized. However, you cannot simply pull them down to put them on – my first attempt split one grip by about an inch, but that was one I needed to trim anyway. I looked online because there were no instructions, and I discovered that people used dish soap as a lubricant. I followed the first one's advice and used a large amount. and which then ended up on my garage floor (the one I trimmed after it split). For the second grip, I simply squeezed a line of soap down the inside, then rolled the grip flat to get it all around, and it worked perfectly – and there was a lot less mess. br>br>As I rack up more miles with them, I'll update the rating.
It was well worth the money. They're fantastic. One of my wrists was fractured due to a fall, and the other was damaged in a car accident that required metal and screws to repair. And I don't have as good a grip as I used to; I used to have trouble holding the grip, and now controlling the clutch and gas is like night and day. I'd lose my grip and stall her out far too often, and I have a trike that requires the use of the brake to start. So, pulling out, stalling it, and sitting on the road with the brake on to start it again isn't pleasant. And the clutch on my bike takes about an inch or more to engage before it kicks in, which helps to shorten the grip distance. It took a couple of minutes each to put them on and line them up with the cut edge on the inside, and I put soap mixed with water on the grips and the inside of the Grip Puppy's and it took a couple of minutes each to put them on and line them up with the cut edge on the inside. My son, who was worried about them not being tight enough and slipping, gave them his OK after checking them out and is glad that they are helping me with the grip. It's also nice to have a larger grip to control the clutch and gas and make it nicer on long trips so you can straighten your hands out with a lot more ease if you're a woman who doesn't have man hands. And it'd be nice to have some of these on hand for motorcycle shops that sell a lot of women's bikes, because I couldn't find any other grips that are larger than the factory grips. So, if you have small hands, have grip issues, or travel for long periods of time, these are great to try out and see what you think. It's well worth the money to give them a shot.
I'm 6'4" and my glove size is XXL. My Kawasaki KLR650 has 7/8" handlebars, and the Spidergrip and ProGrip 714 are both 1 1/4" in diameter. br>By sliding the Grip Puppies over the Spidergrip, I was able to increase the grip diameter from 1 1/4" to 1 5/8", a 3/8" increase. It appeals to me. I'd suggest temporarily boosting your grip with duct tape from where it is now to see if you like how it looks with the Grip Puppies installed (I wrapped one layer painters tape first for easy removal). They're a lot more comfortable for my big mitts, so I'm hoping they'll last. Take care while driving.
