Unless you are using a tee, you will require a British Straight Pipe Tap to install this property. A tool that works well for aluminum and cast iron is available on Amazon for nine dollars. Its sensor is very small and its display is just the right size to fit in most places. The installation is a simple matter of laying out the wires. For vehicles without a temperature gauge, this item is highly recommended. It can cost thousands of dollars to repair an engine that has overheated. It is an inexpensive insurance if I have to replace it every two to three years.

The only downside is when you go to thread the sensor into the old sensors adapter and find the threads are loose and do not tighten properly. As yet, I have not been able to find a metric thread adapter.
