A unit of this type can be mounted to just about any machine. I mounted one to a Polaris Outlaw 90 and a Polaris 200 Phoenix. This device uses magnets for picking up data. In order to calculate how far you travel with each revolution, you set the circumference of your tire in the unit. I installed the magnet on the sprocket on the Outlaw 90, but many vehicles have disc brakes, which make that a better place to mount the magnet.
The situation is okay. A watch battery is contained in it that will keep the device working for a long time with no backlight, but I recommend using it as a clock by running it to a power source and saving the date and time there
Yes, the kit includes everything you need except a drill bit (1/8, I think) and a wood screw. It is relatively easy to install everything else that is included in it
The bike mount fits every motorcycle since it includes brackets to mount to the handlebars.

The cyclocross tracking is amazing. I hooked it up to my wife's crf250x and it worked flawlessly. In order for you to obtain an accurate reading, you need to enter your tire size when you first set it up. To figure out my tire size I stamped my mark using wet paint on the front tire, rolled it on some card board in a straight line, and then measured the distance between the marks before entering that into the computer. I finally input my findings into the program using the instructions. Using some tools and a drill is all you need to do the job and the instructions are easy to follow.
You are happy. Zip-tying this to the handlebars of the 2002 XR400 made it easy for me to move. The program works well. Just use the battery that came with it. Following the directions on the package, I installed the magnet in the brake hub. My speeding excuses are gone now if I get pulled over by the police.
If you decide to install it, you will need patience. If you are mounting a speed sensor, be careful. However, other than that, it doesn't bother me much. The wheel size has a bearing on how you calibrate it for speed accuracy.
The program works well. It was me who did it. To install the caliper, there were holes to be drilled into it. The entire process of hooking up and wiring took about an hour.
It's just a matter of adjusting it just right or just. The program works well. You need to make sure it's adjusted just right, or the speed will alternate between true and double.
It was very easy to set up I found the hardest part to be drilling a hole in the front brake caliper, but everything else was easy. The perpetual backlight is great, the display is easy to read, and the functions are extremely easy to use. It's also excellent for those looking to convert their dirt bike to a street legal bike, or anyone wanting extra information about their bike. I recommend this to anyone wanting either extra information, or a replacement Gauge for their dual sport.
There is nothing better than this product. The product has been highly recommended to me by any dirt bike rider who enjoys offroading A ride on the road. It was a very simple process to install this product for me because they did a very good job on the engineering. So far I have written about 600 miles without any problems or issues.
