I believe the power cord is made of silicone, which is more heat tolerant considering it has an insulator on the outside of it. Within a few minutes of plugging it in, it will be quite hot. If you unplug it, it will spark slightly so do not use it in an area where fuel vapors are present.
After using for about 6 months now, the wires that connect to the heat blanket need to be moved around for it to work. I am not sure whether the solder joint broke or the connection as the wires go into the blanket.
Addon In the last 8 months, one side of the wires have fallen completely out of the blanket. I searched to see if I could get it repaired, but there is no way to do so. The hotel used to be rated 5 stars, but now I've given it a 1 owing to the lack of bottle heaters. Please note This was never removed from my car all I touched it was to take out the bottle and refill and turn back on the heater.
Get a hold of one of these and put down the torch! In less than 6 minutes, you can heat the bottle to its normal operating temperature. You could most definitely overheat the bottle if left running despite the fact that it says it is entirely automated. It has no way to distinguish bottle pressure, so you could leave it to run indefinitely. The price for this product is affordable. Check to make sure the.
