Questions & Answers

A diamond ring has an outside diameter of about 140! What is its outside diameter? Is that okay?

Item measures 8 1/4" in diameter

What are the chances of this working as a stabilizer? It is rubbery enough so that it will not slide on wooden surfaces?

As far as I can tell, the Mopeka LP Tank Check 024-300 is an outstanding model. With the tank base bolted down to the 5002 Tank Halo, it works well for fitting a metal RV propane tank base. As soon as the need arises, I would buy this product again. The product is excellent.

The weight sensors of most RVs are tightened down, so how can they accurately measure weight?

Weight is not measured by this device. A signal is sent like an ultrasonic signal through the bottom of the tank to determine whether or not the tank is full. It has been working great for me.

Do we know how durable these are if anyone has had them for a while? Has there been any damage from prolonged ?

This ring is just what I bought. In other words. Since I've used the software for a long time, I can't comment on it. With the older set, the silicone rubber wedges that came with the mickey mouse mouse came with, without them, the weight of the propane tanks would eventually cause the silicone rubber wedges to break It's a bad idea. The results of my attempts at making my own of 1/4 reinforced rubber hose have been mixed. It appears these are effective at first. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Accessory that can't be done without
4/5

Face it, this is the truth Taking a clip There are lame Tank Check sensors on spacers that come with them. It seems as though the tank is on the edge of tipping over. Even worse, they have a bad habit of falling off and getting lost whenever you move their Plastic rings solve the spacer issue, even though they are overpriced. In addition to staying on, stabilizing, and protecting the tank and whatever is on top of it from scratches that cause rust, it stays stuck to any surface.

It is great to have these! Mopeka sensors are much more reliable with these than with the clips used for raising the propane tanks
4/5

It will also work on 20 lb tanks, I have two of them with 30 lb tanks. I put them in my tank mount plate perfectly since they have an outer diameter of 8 1/4" while the inner diameter is 7 1/4". The only reason I gave it four stars is that they are pretty pricey, but I think it's an excellent.

The results are good, but the price is high
4/5

Two tanks may be able to be fitted with one (one may be used for two). About two years ago, I had a rubber clip break on one of my sensors. In the beginning, I replaced the clips with aluminum clips at a cost of In the original, they are worse or as bad as the copy. The picture showed one ring, and had bold letters that said "SET OF 2" and that they were $28. So I bought them (discussed in my review of them). As soon as I received the package, there was only one inside. A refund of half the money was given to me after I contacted Amazon. In the back of my mind, I was thinking that I would have to purchase it again and get a refund for half of it. Then, a couple weeks later, the price had dropped to $16 when I went to order it again. Originally, the picture had been resized to 80x80 and the words "SET OF 2" had been deleted. A set of two will cost $33 if we take the average price of each individually. about the cost, I came up with the idea that you could buy one and cut it into quarters, then put two quarters on each side of the As a precaution, I did not try this, but it should work. If you need to, you can use spray on contact glue to attach them. I would really appreciate any feedback you have if you decide to try this method and whether it works or not to help others out with the cost cutting process. I like this item very much
5/5

Using the aluminum spacers that came with the sensors has been a waste of time. It made my day to receive these rings. The removal and installation of tanks will be much easier. I should have ordered them with the sensors at the time of the original order. I would definitely recommend it!.

This is great! A product like this is ideal for RVs
5/5

With the Mopeka tank sensors, I had to use the metal clips that came with them. There is no problem with them. They work well. You can remove them for whatever reason, but they are basically ruined if you do. There are also metals on metals on metals. A 30 lb propane tank fitted perfectly into this product. Snug enough, but not too tight. The layer of shock-absorbing material between the tank and where it rests protects the tank. Corrosion should be prevented by this. The tank sensors are placed with just the right amount of space between them. It seems that the material is of high My decision to purchase these again would be my own.

In terms of concept, it's excellent
3/5

Though this seems like such a simple solution, if you put your tank in a square box within the tank bay of your fifth wheel, this halo makes it near impossible to fit the tank inside the There almost is no room for this halo around the side of this box due to its design to prevent the tank from shifting. There is a better way to attach the sensors to the tank than using the rubber "clamps," since these can be placed so that they are not in contact with the box's edges. Despite that, those suckers fall off pretty much all the time, so they are You might want to consider aluminum ones as well, and see how they compare.

The standard is not up to par
3/5

In comparison to other spacers, this is a great spacer as the other ones are a huge hassle to deal with, the problem is that the rubber is too thick around the outside so the tanks can't fit in the holder when the spacer is attached. As a customer, I've had good service and response from Mopeka, but honestly, if they had been able to reduce the size of the sensors by now, there would be no need for spacers. These devices should be no exception to the trend of decreasing electronics size.

The spacer is perfect, but it would be cheaper if it was I find it to be priced fairly for what it is, but it feels It lasts longer than the aluminum spacers that come with the sensors they are pretty cheaply made, and there is full coverage of the base, as well, where the spacers make it easy for it to tip over
4/5

I find that our halo is much more stable, and it is easier to load as well as unload the tanks. As a result, the spacers added more space than was actually required for the sensor to be seated. The solution is much better than the previous one. Though the price feels high, I'm glad I got the Halo because it is the best item I could have bought. There's one for each of my tanks, so I'm glad I bought two.
