This fixed my PO code after I tried the purge valve. If you install the cap and it does not work, go for the purge valve, the cap is made well or you can buy the gasket. I bought a spare, because apparently these things Scion TC 2008 for sale.
I pulled the codes after my check engine light turned on recently and it seems like I will have to spend a lot of money for it. I used it for my 2005 Scion TC and it worked well. A family member read the codes on my car for P0441 P0455 P0456 because it didn't pass smog. YouTube videos suggest that it is the gas cap, so I did some research and looked at them. My car passed smog today after I bought this one. My home is better now that I didn't have to spend hundreds of dollars on repairs.
I used this product to replace the old gas cap on my 2008 Scion Tc, and I believe that it was an exact replacement as it was a perfect By reading the engine light using an obd2 code scanner, we were able to determine that we had a leak in our evaporative emission system, P0456. The gas cap on my Scion was damaged so I decided to replace it as suggested on Scion forums. It is no longer displaying the engine light!.
