The only thing missing now was a new clutch for this mini bike, which I have been building for a long time. A thing for $20 caught my eye on Amazon, so I thought, "What the heck?"? Good to know that it turned out well! A 79cc motor with a clutch this powerful pulled me around with no problem at all, even weighing 260 pounds! In addition, the motor is a 79cc Predator motor. The pictures I included show what my mini bike turned out to be when it was finished. You will need a 3/4" bore clutch to use this clutch on a 212cc Predator. This clutch will not fit it, you need to get one that is 3/4". Anyway, I digress. It is a great product, highly recommended!.
I was very pleased with the result. It was mounted on a 212cc predator motor on a Coleman mini bike. We ran it over 100miles on the trail I didn't have any issues with it when I was doing a road race.
When it engages, I also really like the way it sounds. Despite the fact that the kids have no idea how to install this system, they are having the time of their lives with the.
You could say it is compatible with the predator 212 cc engine, which is halfway accurate. That's not the case. In order to fit this clutch, the shaft on the predator 212 is too long. That is, it leaves an empty space between objects It is possible that you could find a spacer, but there isn't one that fits this tiny area (I tried, for 3 hours). Additionally, this clutch does not have any mounting holes to screw into the shaft, so it's not suitable for Predator 212. The key way fits perfectly, but otherwise this is not suitable You'll need a way to control its movement unless you find a way to stop it. We are returning.
THERE IS NO OTHER CLUTCH THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND OVER THIS ONE, EVEN A NAME BRAND. I bought this $20 clutch because it feels more durable than the name brand clutches that are twice the price. I'm a big guy (300 lbs) and my Max Torque clutch that I bought once for twice this price died after only a few rides. After finding a $20 one at a store, I thought I would just use it while I was looking at other options and seeing what larger guys like me could get, but when I opened this thing and saw how well it was constructed, I was amazed. Since I have been using it for a bunch of rides now, I will never buy another There is no competition for it. It's the best of the best and I recommend it 100% above any name brand, including the Max Torque - and no, the Max Torque I bought from GPS was not a knockoff. The company.
It's been working great for replacing the clutch on my predator 212 swapped Tao Tao kart. There were a few occasions when it threw the chain around so I added a washer on the crank bolt to keep it in place and it worked brilliantly. This derailment is the fault of my engine mounts and not the clutch, it happened when I had my previous clutch replaced.
I am perfect, bi-lingual This allowed my project to move forward smoothly. Just drilled the spindle hole a little more, tapped it, and then snapped a bolt with a washer on it, and all is now tight and secure. While it took a hammer to install, the keyway lined up and I'd prefer an installation that's snug than one that's I put it on backwards to get the gear closer to the rear spindle, and it lined up perfectly. The drop of oil will be harder to get at, but not by.
I just need to visit the hardware store for a couple of items. I don't think there is a better way to describe it. make sure you get some washers for the spacing and a bolt with a large washer and a lock washer for the end of the crank.
