Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with the Mt 07 for the year 2018?

Yes, this is compatible with a 2018 MT-X. In terms of the routing and mounting of the CP2 engine's exhaust, there has essentially been no change from 2014 to current.

Is this complete with all necessary parts, such as gaskets, new bolts, and so on?

It does not include new gaskets, but you should be fine if you use your old ones; if you don't want to use your old ones, new gaskets cost around $10.

Is this a full system or just a hint?

It's a total waste of time.

Is it compatible with the Yamaha MT-09?

On my 2019 MT, it just barely made the cut. It doesn't fit perfectly and there are no instructions included.

Exceptional quality
4/5

This exhaust system is extremely well constructed. The welds are also of excellent quality. The installation is fairly simple; however, the lack of instructions is extremely disappointing, as the installation is not entirely intuitive for everyone. br>I had to pause and consider it, as well as examine how other exhausts were installed. br>br>Another issue is that the rubber channel that goes inside the bracket strap doesn't fit very well, and I ended up wrestling with it, scratching the muffler twice in the process. Having said that, I've been very pleased with it thus far. The pipes are beautiful, and the sound is fantastic. Quite a bit of noise. With the baffle in place, the volume is adequate but the sound is tinny. I removed the end of the baffle and it sounded better, but it's still very loud without it. I can't imagine spending $700-800 on other brands because the parts are of such high quality for such a low price. Because there were no instructions, I gave it a 4 out of 5 star rating. br>br>I wanted to come back and add to this review after using this exhaust for a while. This exhaust still sounds great and is in good condition. I installed a Dynojet tuner and played around with it for a while, and the bike is now a completely different animal. The one disadvantage that I believe is worth mentioning is that the exhaust should be pointing out more than it is. It exits directly onto the swingarm, and as a result of the heat and exhaust, my swingarm and rear spools have discolored, which may be a concern for some potential buyers. Maybe there was something I could have done differently during the installation, but there were no instructions to back it up. I tried removing it and adjusting it once, but it didn't work out.

The best deal on the market
5/5

This is my first bike, and I'm installing it on one for the first time. I looked for a few months but couldn't justify spending $600 on something I didn't need. For something I only ride once a week, I spent $900 on a top-tier exhaust. I found this and decided to give it a try after reading the reviews. This exhaust appears to be well-made and is the most affordable option available. It has a nice appearance, saves weight, and, most importantly, it sounds fantastic. br>Please excuse my screaming kids in the video; they were assisting with the installation, but their joy will be shared by you when you fire this thing up for the first time; it's the perfect amount of loud with the baffle in. Enough to make you visible and make you feel even better about your bike; I immediately became more interested in riding it. br>Highway speeds are fine for noise, but I haven't ridden it without the baffle installed and anticipate it being about twice as loud. It's great that the baffle can be removed if necessary - Pull it out with needle nose pliers using a simple Allen head screw. Because it didn't come with any, I installed it without them as well. It comes with a bracket that attaches to the inner-frame of the vehicle. The stock exhaust was bolted to the majority of bolt holes. The hardest part was wrapping the strap around the muffler, but with a ratchet, extension, and a 12mm socket, you can complete the task. There are a few other essential tools. br>Overall, this improved the appearance and sound of my bike at a reasonable cost. br>br>*EDIT*: I still enjoy the sound after about a month of use. I rode without the baffle for about two weeks - It's basically straight piped at that point, and it's extremely loud, especially on the highway. I ended up reinstalling the baffle. There was a small amount of low-hanging fruit that I noticed. end torque loss when the baffle is removed, primarily when starting from a standstill Even with the baffle in place, it still sounds great, so I'm pleased with my purchase. With this, you can convert your scooter into a motorcycle.

On a 2020 Yamaha MT-100, installation is not difficult
5/5

The item arrived in a well-kept Ransoto box. Everything was presented in an attractive manner. After taking everything out of the box and laying it out. Before you put this exhaust system on your MT-90, make sure you have everything you need. You'll need to buy two things in order to complete 07 successfully. 2. Gaskets for the exhaust pipe Permatex copper ultra exhaust gasket maker 81878 These two items will make this a simple project that should take about an hour to an hour and a half to complete. The pipes should be hung first, but not too tightly. Grease the gaskets and place them in the exhaust ports so they stay in place while the pipes are bolted up (Do Not Tighten Yet!). After that, install the muffler's exhaust hanger. It isn't an L bracket any longer. A C bracket has been added to the equation. The back of the C bracket faces the back of the bike, and a rubber grommet is inserted into the bracket. In the middle of the grommet, there is a gold isolator. The gold isolator is used to isolate vibration from the exhaust system to your bike, and your muffler strap is bolted through it. To ensure that the strap is properly seated, test fit your muffler and strap. The rubber isolator can easily come off the strap and scrape your muffler, so be careful with it. On the strap, the white is tape that peels away. Once you've got it in the right spot, you can use some thin pliers to line up the holes by clamping the strap ends together. Apply your copper exhaust gasket maker to the inside of the muffler flange where your pipe will be inserted. This will prevent leaks between the pipe and the muffler if you use a lot of it. Tighten the exhaust port nuts (15 foot pounds per service manual) after you've tightened the muffler in place and connected the muffler and pipe. The pipe and muffler joint should then be tightened. Install your O2 sensor now if you haven't already. Before putting it in, apply some anti-seize to the threads. Connect it to the connector once again. You've completed your task. It appears to be fantastic. On video, he appears to be more aggressive. Love it! I would buy this product again! The welds and muffler both looked fantastic.
