Questions & Answers

Does it come with two or one?

In this package, there are two of them. There is a right and a wrong You can see it on the left.

They seem to fold up like spring scratchers when they're not in use, or as if they are always lying flat?

As they fold up, they disappear. The snow kicking is good and they are fairly easy to put down.

Is it possible to fit these on an rmk pro 2015 Polaris? Are these also in reverse when you have them ?

In short, yes. My RMK Pros from the 2015 model year are equipped with these. A properly-phrased sentence consists of It should be appropriately sized and constructed You do not need to drill holes in the rails because they already have holes in them. Likewise, I have them installed on our RMKs from 2012 and 2014 They are all using the pre-recorded audio A hole already exists. Snow bats batter followers and kick up so much snow that they complain about getting battered. You can reverse without a problem. The relief of not having to scratch rigidly! If you haul them on a trailer, make sure you lift them (or they may catch and be torn Then leave them down (they can be easily retrained downwards You may want to keep an end wrench handy if you forget). Train them to hover over the snow and they won't be of any use.

Would you be able to replace the tips under the warranty? They came with carbide tips that broke off after 20 miles! I took them for a test ride this weekend. ?

If you purchased them through Amazon, then you'll be able to request new tips from the supplier. They will replace the old ones for you and send you new ones by mail.

Selected User Reviews For Btl Designs 15-6425 Dura Flex Ice Scratchers Kit

This is a great product! The first thing I would like to say is that those reviews saying these dura flex scratchers get a memory when stored up need to stop! Hey, get your heads out of the sand! These are metal things - just like plastic, paper, etc
5/5

- so they will form a memory if they're not stored correctly. Store your sleds for the summer on a hook if you're storing them. This product has been used on five sleds in four years now and I have never had any similar problems as those mentioned in these reviews. You people should use common sense! Even after four years of use on a sled used specifically for ice fishing and several months of storage, I still own the first pair I bought and they are still in great shape and toss plenty of spray when necessary and keep a zrt700 Arctic Cat cool. WD40 should be sprayed on them if stored for a long time. In an attempt to protect the cable part, I dipped it in rustOleum plastic Please dip them (see the pictures) so that they don't rust! If you aren't gonna use them for what they were intended for, please do not purchase As far as their performance is concerned, they work great! The only scratchers I've had on both Sleds never overheated or gave me a problem with the Hyfax not getting enough lubricant! On a 1999 Arctic Cat Zrt700, a 2001 Arctic Cat Zr500, and a 2015 Arctic Cat Zr8000rr, the engines stay cool! My ZR500 is what I use for ice fishing, although I also run ski mounted scratchers because of obvious reasons. Despite this, I've forgotten to put my ski mount scratchers down after unloading and these dura flex skid mount scratchers have worked wonderfully without me placing them down! In that case, if those people who are having these problems were to use a little common sense, then I doubt there would be any serious issues with these scratchers. This seller was a pleasure to deal with and the ice scratchers are incredible and well worth their I have extra tips (that you can buy on amazon for that same price) for my ZR500! You will wear them out if you ride on very hard surfaces, such as bare ice, but i have never had one Good luck folks, and u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u!.

I like the look, but it is ineffective
3/5

I like when it works forwards and backwards. It has a nice look, but I dislike how it floats above the snow as opposed to scratching and so on This causes snow to accumulate in the water hyfax and heat exchangers (i. e. The view is worthless), bending down may work but not for long if the location is inappropriate Since the bolts are not tied down, they will fall off (but will not be included) and may tip off when reversing off a bed or sled deck. The LH unit provided more cooling than the Duraflex units when a single LH unit was used instead of the traditional black wire spring scratchers (RH unit broke when reversing). I will sell them on eBay since it is too late to return them.

A complete waste of time and energy! An attempt to ride a failed after one weekend
3/5

A complete waste of time and energy! The tunnel of my new sled was damaged after one weekend of riding on it. The only reason I gave it one star is that it was.

The product is great
4/5

I have two of them on two different machines. Excellent product. I had multiple scratchers that didn't come with backups before I found this. Be sure to lock down the bolts tightly and to reef hard. There is a tendency for them to rotate and loosen up. Once they stop pushing snow, then they stop kicking it up. However, I have not lost any yet. Put them in a safe place. My installation is pretty much always in the down position. When stored up, the cable will take on a bend maintaining their height above the snow or ice when reinstalled. You can slide a closed-mouth-aperture on top of it if that happens You can bend the end wrench to the top of the nut. The price got too high, I thought. I bought my first set more than a decade ago for a much lower price.

I like how it works, but be sure to It's not really designed to clip on to your sled when not in use, but they work great and keep the sled cool
4/5

It is reported that they can also snap wires and damage your track when they are moved. Then, I customize to keep it from happening.

recommend these highly and cannot say enough good things about them
5/5

You've got a sled that runs like a champ? Using these suckers, my 2014 Polaris Indy 600 engine temperature dropped from + - 90° F to - 90° F There is no way you can handle 200 degrees (way too This number ranges from 137 to 157. I mean it! recommend these highly and cannot say enough good things about them. In addition to that, they kick up so much ice and powder, that the idiot tailgating you will absolutely have to back up in order not to be pounded by the flying ice and snow that they The days of riding my sled without these will be a thing of the past. It would be a 10 star rating if they had one. It would have been my pleasure to give it to them. 2 sets are to be purchased. In addition to your spare, keep one in the garage. There was one ripped off at the tip while crossing an empty gas station lot, and the scratcher struck the surface of the Sorry about that. Three thousand miles) out of here. I give it an A+!.

Ice scratchers are great for scraping ice
5/5

The design of these scratchers are great because they won't get damaged if you turn over with them down like some of the We have to wait for the manufacturers to catch up and make a hole for easier installation in the rails. If you want to put them on the sled, you will have to drill a hole. My local dealer was selling it for $75 whereas I got a great deal on Amazon for $24.

I think this is excellent
5/5

I think it is a great design and idea. A lot of snow and ice chips are thrown right at you when you need them. By covering it with snow, they actually dampen the sounds in the tunnel. 144 inches by 15 inches by 1 inch is the size of my Yamaha RS Venture 2006 with the 15 inches by 1 inch size. A track that is 5 inches wide with 23,700 miles on it. Since when did I last change my slides, I cannot recall. The slides on hard pack virgin groomed trails used to smell like this from time to time. As a result, I can enjoy the flat trails earlier in the morning without having to worry about overheating or sacrificing my slides. The fittings are easy to install, and they hang up right on the rails when not being used. My Venture does not have a part of the rail that sits two inches above the track so I had to set them at an angle rather than straight down as the manufacturer I am going to make a mount riser next year, but for now I still use them. As long as you keep them up while you are crossing gravel or dirt roads, they are sure to work equally well.
