You will be able to work with it it worked great on my 4 wheeler gas tank

As a shield to protect the wall/shield of a cold air intake, it was installed next to a turbo. The adhesive will perform well, but how long will it last?

What is the water resistance of the material?

My air conditioning duct that sweats is properly insulated and the condensation has stopped. Although I am not sure what you plan on using it for, I am sure it will deteriorate in a short period of time if it's in a wet environment frequently.

Sticks to the screen! Removed any debris that affected the adhesive's consistency, cleaned the area with alcohol, and scrubbed off anything that may have affected its adhesion

There have been TWO weeks since I rode and I haven't taken it out yet,
I just did a once over on the bike and this heat shield peeled off prior to a single ride. This was a very expensive purchase that I can't return because I haven't reached my return window yet. *Put your mind at ease

It serves as a heat shield between the exhaust manifold and the intake manifold on diesel engines. The strip adheres well to the separator plate, stays in place, and appears to be doing a good job of deflecting.

Sticks only to the surface

Over the course of a day, the adhesive failed to stick. I changed it a day after I installed it and it fell off the next day.
