My Johnson has been fired up! I have never seen my port engine start as quickly or run as strongly as the one on the starboard side of my boat

decided to replace the OEM stator in my ailing Johnson with this CDI unit after nursing it along for too long. It is up and running now when I hit it. As well as the stator on this engine, I replaced the CDI unit on the other one. My Johnsons are both up and running strong now.

The best OEM alternative

I had a problem with a 2001 Johnson 70HP, but it worked effectively. It is better to design the cooling system in such a way that heat is dissipated nicely.

Clearly it is not the correct replacement part for part # 584560, which was to be used on a 50 hp 2005 Johnson and to include It appears to be incorrect and is a 5 wire plug and the original is a 3 wire plug

A distinction may be made between shipping and Once unboxed, one of the wires was hanging loose and had no connection to the base! The wire did fit into the hole and make contact with the pin, but I have to purchase a new pin in order to make this work

Compared to the original tracker / evinrude stator, this is a superior replacement. The software worked flawlessly after installation, and it is still working to this day.
