For a 1970 mercury 65hp 4 cylinder, I used this it doesn't fit in the original location, but there are two pre-drilled holes on the side of the engine block that you can tap with a #10-size bit. The thread diameter of the machine screws will be 24. I am able to charge my engine while running again thanks to this device!.
