It's a single tone with a fairly high pitch, in my opinion. It's a lot louder than the aqua signal horn I replaced it with.
I think 5
Although the membrane between the horn and the silver cover plate may keep water out, I don't believe it was designed to be waterproof. To put it another way, I believe that if you turned it upside down, rain water would eventually seep through and fill the horn.

This item was purchased to replace a Fiamm A-. On my 2007 Crownline 240EX, I have 23 horns. Because the product's stated dimension is 5, I wasn't sure if it would fit perfectly. 5 x 4. 17 x 3. When I receive the product, I notice that it is the same size as the A-. The oval cover measures 5 inches in diameter and measures 23 inches long. 5" x 3- 1/8". Everything should be fine!.
I'm hoping that after a few seasons, the grill will be rust-free. This horn is loud enough for our purposes, it attracts attention, and that is the purpose of a horn. br>We installed this as a mandatory safety feature on our 16-foot fishing boat. br>It was relatively simple to install for us, but we are mechanically inclined and have a large tool collection. Using the included template to cut and drill the thick aluminum surface we mounted it on was very helpful. br>To mount the horn, you'll need two fasteners, which aren't included because the manufacturer has no idea where or how you'll mount it. We bought a ten-piece stainless steel set. We used a cordless drill, a hole saw (1-inch), and 24 roundhead phillips bolts and nylock nuts to mount ours. 3/8"), as well as a drill bit that matches our bolts.
"I see you floatin'. You'll see me floatin' dirty scum to catch you'll floatin' dirty scum to catch you'll dirty scum to catch me floatn' dirty scum’ dirty scum.
A PAPERISH MATERIAL IS APPLIED TO THE FRONT OF THE HORN TO KEEP WATER OUT. THIS MUST NOT BE REMOVED. …. A FEW INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION.
I just replaced the horn on my boat, and this model worked perfectly. Mine had a bracket with two horns inside the anchor locker, and this model worked perfectly. I had to use a multi tool to cut the opening up, and I had to kind of mark it because it was 2 1/2 tall by 3 1/2 wide. The screw holes in the old horns and the grill were identical. I pushed the horn and grill from the outside, attached the wires with a couple washers and lock nuts from the anchor locker, and replaced the connectors on the wires. Now I have a horn.
I wish there was a template that could be printed in the correct size. br>br>I traced and jigsawed the plastic portion with a pencil. saw it. br>br>It's as loud as my SUV, and I don't mind.
My Faimm A- has been replaced. On my 2009 Monterey 214FS, I got a perfect 23. It's simple to hook up and get started. br>br>Gave 4 stars because the grill was discolored and looked like it had been installed previously. My older cover, which was 12 years old, was in much better shape.
As part of a project, I installed this horn in my boat, which sat idle for about four months after installation. The boat was only put in the water a few weeks ago, and the "new" horn (which had only been used a few times) is broken. I'm attempting to determine whether the product has a warranty.
