The device runs off of 12 volts. There is no complexity to it, like an animal with only one cell. The loudness of 115 db is comparable to that of go-karts, desert bikes, dirt bikes, pocket bikes, motorcycles, etc. You will not have to worry about it being loud if you supply a weak 12v. As long as it works on a go kart, it should work on your motorcycle, as well. It's never occurred to me to replace the horn on several, but I've had several. It doesn't matter which one you choose.
