David's reply reminded me to note that I did include the equivalent of a relay when I designed a printed circuit board for many of the functions on my motorcycle, and I ran the horn current through it. It contains a transistor circuit that is capable of handling the 7A of power drawn by the horn. In order to make the horn honk, transistors have to be turned on, which only requires a few milliamps. The horn switch on the bike's handlebars no longer needed to handle the loads I was putting on them. I wasn't 100% sure it would take 7A through the old Lucas Electric switch (yes, it's a Britbike). As a result, a 10A fuse is used to supply 7A power to this little transistor circuit.

There was something I really wanted to like about I like how well they look and the video looks Unfortunately, only one of the pair I received worked and it was not quite as loud as the other. They have been returned to me. I was contacted by the seller customer service after my initial not so good experience with these horns and consequent review. They asked if I would try another pair of these to see if that would have better results. To give it another try, I agreed. In the case of the car I intend to install them in, I bench tested the horns using 14ga gauge since extensive body parts will need to be removed in order to access the installation area.
