There is one ball joint per unit. I have identical ball joints on the upper and lower parts of my 1991 Honda Fourtrax 4x4 therefore, you should order two of each.

To beat the ball joint into the axle spindle, I placed it in a vice, then hammered it in with a socket around the ball joint. Way to avoid a press at a low cost. My Massimo Hisun, a Chinese knock off of the Yamaha rhino from 2006, is compatible with this part.
