After my first order was returned because of cracked rivets, I ordered four more links in two separate orders. I read in my Honda service manual that there is nothing to do about the rivet. This link is only about 8 millimeters, so that won't come close to that. There can be only 3 millimeters of flare without them cracking. If there was a flare specification with the link, instead of trial and error, it would have been much more helpful. People will hopefully benefit from this so they don't make the same mistakes as.
In my case, it is a perfect replacement for the one I broke, which came with the chain of the JT sprocket. For an accurate measurement of your rivets, always use calipers during the installation process. Quality chain tools are not necessary to crack rivets, they just need to apply sufficient pressure.
