Approximately one inch is the distance between the bolt holes that mount to the throttle body or carb base. There is a 5" gap. On a Holley Sniper, the throttle linkage becomes lodged against the bracket when this happens. It was necessary for me to make 1 of the 3 copies. You could also add an additional 5" of spacers to the bracket and bolt these in. A further problem was the thread pitch on the bolt that holds the springs in the bracket (the ball and socket type throttle cable has the right pitch). For the threads to line up correctly, I had to run a tap through it. As soon as it has been mounted and modified, it works like a charm. As far as I'm concerned, this modification is acceptable considering the relatively low price of the part, compared to the Holley Sniper ones. A manufacturer would only have to make a small adjustment to make it fit all carbs and throttle bodies.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the silver model is actually brushed aluminum. Overall, I'm pleased Two cable adapters came with the kit. The pre-installed one is a square lock that fits aftermarket cables from Mr. Gasket, Lokar, etc. For your stock throttle cable, a round one would be best. Those springs are the only thing that bothers me. In my case, the ones on my return were wound to indicate the rotation. There won't be any impact on the return operation, I'm confident. There is nothing amazing about it, but I did not expect a product to be of 150 dollar quality for just I would recommend this.

I couldn't find a bracket that fit right and had a tv cable and it was very easy to install. There is a much larger option which fits but doesn't have a cable bracket however, it can be made to If you don't have scrap metal lying around, you can reuse a piece off another bracket like I did, and it works just fine.

I have a 454 big block Chevy with an Edelbrock 1406, and it runs flawlessly. The bracket was incredibly easy to attach, I only had to bend the hooked part of it slightly and it fit The product is in perfect working order and there are no signs of damage.
