A return spring will need to be attached at the carburetor end of the cable because it is spring-loaded.
If you tie the cable ties inside a fitting on top of the carburetor, that may work. A little bit of a lump needs to be on the throttle cable end.
A standard mikuni style zinc nib is approximately 3MM. With a torch, it can be melted off, and hard solder can be added to it
While it might fit, I'm sure you'll need to make some modifications to make it fit what you need. Initially I purchased it to use in a custom application, but after I got it in hand I decided that it wasn't worth the effort to try and make it work for me. Among the possible part options, I would suggest searching a little more

The old Coleman CT200U was replaced with the new Coleman CT200U From the stock plastic, and actually unsafe, twist throttle assembly, we switched to this thumb throttle for the EX minibike. There are only a few odd casting flashes inside the housing so far, but so far the quality seems great. It took some adjusting before the cable would fit, so I deducted one star based on the way the cable catch was bent. However, that was the only problem with the Rubber is attached around the hole to seal it, and a cable is included to connect the cable to the housing. In this case, the cable is long enough to zip tie it along the top tube of the frame, and loop it down to the original throttle cable The cable core needed only to be melted off the carburetor end of the Mikuni style zinc ball in order for it to work with a minibike's carburetor.
In order to fully throttle the Governer Tweaked Predator, I used a longer cable pull to clear the stops inside the assembly housing to give me more spring return. My kart's wheel feels like it needs a thumb throttle now, so I want to do that!.
It is easy to install and adjust the With the cable that comes with it, you can use it with a VM22 carburetor.
While the thumb throttle wears out your thumb if you're not used to it (I'm not), the device works well as a cheap and smooth replacement for the ultra cheap throttles that come with automobile As soon as I received my kit and set it up, the cheap plastic twist throttle that came with it would hang, and you could feel it catching internally when you twisted it. If I wanted to fix it, I would have needed to use a file and time. But I had no interest in that junk. i will still be purchasing a twist throttle because I prefer them, but I cannot subtract points from this review for my thumb fatigue. people use thumb throttles all day on 4 wheel atvs. my thumb isn't used to that type of throttle yet. I had to lengthen it in both directions to use it with a bicycle motor kit, and the core of the cable is still a bit long, but not enough to become an issue. If it is an issue for you, you can get new cable ends and cut it down a bit.
That was so easy. . . I don’t know why I didn’t do it earlier. If you have a Mikuni installed on your Coleman CT200U, this kit is a drop-in replacement. Besides the cable being the right length and the thumb throttle feeling great, it is also the perfect length.
Putting this thing on my peddle bike with three horse power then attaching a heavy duty stake to it was easy. I've never seen anything move so fast. I suggest that you pick up any debris that is on the path first. I'm thinking of a utility patent, so don't start coming up with any new.
While installing the clamp, the bolt sheared off. Casting defects number in the half dozen. A seal has been An end retention clamp at the cable end is There were no smooth movements on any of the adjustment wheels. This is junk. You may also. There are three different brake levers that you can use There was no clearance, so don't think you'll be running a second brake on your throttle side. Nope, nope,.
A new wire cable has to be fed down the sleeve to reach the throttle on my Mini bike as the wire cable running through the throttle tube is too short. I have to cut the end of the cable and feed it down the sleeve. As far as I know, if it isn't long enough to reach the engine throttle on a mini bike, then it isn't long enough for anything for that matter.
The throttle housing is a good little metal one but when I tried to wire a cable into the hole on the inside of the housing, I found that the hole was not large enough. It was necessary to drill the hole a little larger in order to fit it. It seems like it has a good throttle, aside from that! There are some flimsy parts to the cable, but the connection should work.
