It's only 1/2 inch, but there's plenty of room, so I'm confident it'll work on both.
That's correct. My XR650L is a 2021 model with black factory bars. On the top bar, it will fit everything. This one is similar to the longer ones made many years ago, with a diameter of about 2" and a length of about 10". 11" in length. Check out the Factory Effex XR659L decal on the swing arm. For that classic Honda XRL look, I installed a set. That decal isn't found on newer bikes.
I just measured it for you at ten inches.
It worked perfectly on a Honda CRF 150 from 2021.

It appears to be of good quality; the plastic appears to be a little flimsy, but no one except you would notice. Foam padding, on the other hand, is excellent and will provide you with the necessary protection. My 2019 crf 250l was also a little too big for it. It fit, but was a little tight, so I shaved a half inch off both sides and it now fits perfectly.
It appears to be in good condition. It works fine; I ripped it finely, but it was a shambles to be proud of. I deducted a star because a piece of pipe insulation and a plastic liner are far too expensive.

I bought this for my 2002 CR250R, and it fits perfectly. Now I have a little more protection, and it arrived quickly, which I appreciate.
It's not high quality, but it's adequate for the price. I wish the red cover's ends had been more finished, but you can't expect a high-quality piece for the price.

Although the color isn't perfect, it's very close. Color match isn't perfect, but it's close enough, and it fits snugly on my 2020 Crf250l while still looking good. I had to fiddle with it a little but didn't have to cut it.
