I really like how simple the design is. For my Yamaha R3 clip-on, I used it. It was a very simple process to install handlebars. I pushed it in with a small amount of water. The throttle side was a little more difficult to work with, but the fit is excellent.
They fit perfectly and are adequate for a low-cost grip - They weren't quite brown, more of a reddish-burgundy hue. As a result, I'll need to get new grips because the ones I have don't fit my seat. Oh well.
A fantastic purchase! Apply a small amount of oil to the surface before installing. Small is important because they will fall off if they are not.
The open ended tips on these grips were something I didn't notice. I've never used open-ended grips in my 67 years of riding. So now I have grips that are open ended. "Old man, pay attention to what you're buying.
I had high expectations for these grips, and they did not disappoint. The distinction between right and left was very clear. I removed my old grips, used mineral spirits to clean the excess glue from the handlebars, then sprayed hairspray inside the grips and slid them on. It's that simple.
The grips are really nice. On an Indian Scout, it's been installed. When installing them, just be careful not to overstretch them. It appears to be durable, and I had no problems with it during my brief ownership of the bike.
On my KLR 650, I used these to replace the worn grips. The installation was simple, but it fit so snugly that I didn't need to use adhesive, and the textured pattern provides adequate grip.
Great grips for the price, they feel nice, and they went on easily and stayed on well. On a Yamaha 79, this is what it looks like. It looks fantastic and completely transforms the bike's appearance.
