Although I cannot comment on the description, the grips I received have a nice, subtle bevel. a sharpened end- They look and feel great on the bike, and if I hadn't mentioned them - I'd be remiss if I didn't mention them. The majority of people would be completely unaware that they aren't stock. A small tube of grip glue is included as well. The quality is excellent.
Not in the traditional sense. They're glued to the grips, so you could easily cut them off.

These grips are very appealing to me. They have a great texture to them. Installing them took about an hour and was fairly simple. If you've never done anything like this before, there are some great video tutorials on YouTube that can help you get started. To keep the grip from sticking, I had to sand the handlebars and a small section of the grip itself, but that was expected. If you're installing this on a Harley like I did, keep in mind that the left grip is glued in place and can be difficult to remove. After spraying a little WD40 under the grip, I was able to peel it off. I just kept working on it and peeling it off until it came off. I suppose I could have cut the grip off at this point, but I wanted to keep it just in case I didn't like these grips.
My hands are small, and the grips that came with my bike were far too bulky for them to properly grip. It was also difficult for me to reach my turn signals in the correct position as a result of this. But it was like night and day after I installed these gripes. They have a slim figure. On a Harley Sportster 883, they look fantastic. They're absolutely fantastic!.
But now that I've installed and used them, I'm completely enamored with them. The rubber is extremely firm (and feels extremely high-quality) and provides excellent grip. With gloves or bear skin, it's very comfortable. They appear to be extremely clean and of high quality. I swapped out my thick/fat OME Harley grips. These are "slimmer," and I now feel like I have a lot more control over them. They're the ideal replacement for my Nightster. I found a YouTube video with quick installation instructions.
Grip is excellent. Soft enough for comfort, but firm enough to keep you from moving or twisting when you're out on the trail. The only complaint I have is that the grip glue that comes with it is the toughest, fastest-drying substance ever devised. It's almost as if you're using JB Weld that cures in five seconds. So squirt this stuff all over the grip and slide it on in the desired position. Wait until the glue has hardened before twisting the grips! Because you only have 5 seconds to put that grip on, make sure the glue is all over the grip and bars.
Arlen Ness's work is well-made. The throttle tube had dry lube on the inner barrel already - excellent quality with the little touches - ready to mount on a squeaky-clean bar Grip glue is also included with the grips. An additional nice touch. br>br>I've got them on my 'Glide and they're fantastic - They don't attract attention, but if someone gets close enough to inspect them, they'll notice a nice piece and realize you paid attention to the finer points.
The black knurling on these grips is firm, but extremely functional for positive throttle control engagement (rolling on). off) while wearing gloves or knuckling it with your hands on your knuckles. Many people have said that the precision Knurl pattern woven horizontally across the grip face gives them the appearance of solid metal. That quality can be found in the dense rubber. I'm very pleased with the product, and I've driven them for over a thousand miles without finding any flaws.
My 2018 Sporty no longer has the stock HD grips. A heads up: the stock left grip is glued on, and getting it off was a mother. The Arlen Ness Grips are absolutely gorgeous. You'll have a firm grip thanks to the knurling pattern. The throttle response is very smooth, and it never hangs up.
It's simple to swap out, the glue dries quickly, and you only have about a second to get it right once you slide on the left grip.
