I guess I was hoping for a little more from. It's a good product. It isn't a perfect fit for my bike, but that isn't a big deal. They are extremely flexible. I guess I expected more for the money; I could have gotten the same protection by riding with my street gloves. In any case, this is a review of the Longhorn Moto. a vendor I had no intention of writing a review until they contacted me to inquire about the product. I responded, and received an automated response instructing me to contact Amazon if I had any issues. The item is what it is, and I am not concerned that it does not meet my requirements. But don't ask me how I like the item, because if I don't say what the seller wants to hear, I'll get the it's not our problem, contact Amazon response. Oh well, I'll just avoid doing business with them in the future.
The Honda CRF250L Rally was introduced in 2018. These were purchased to replace the stock ones, which I promptly destroyed while hiking in the woods. The design is made up of a variety of crazy-looking elements. A bar of aluminum is encased in hard plastic. It has a lot of power. The guards are asymmetrical, with the right-hand guard being larger to protect the brake reservoir. The installation was simple, but I went a little too far with the grip trimming. It's not important to me, but it is to you. Remember to follow the steel bar instructions! The price is great, and it comes with a good (if a little shabby) hardware kit. You won't be able to change the covers like some other models, but I guarantee these guards are just as strong. In any case, for my bike, I would recommend them.
Ok folks. I've completed the less expensive ones, and I must say that I'm impressed. These are, in fact, superior. It's a lot less difficult to set up. Plastics do not appear to be as brittle as previously thought. The fit was perfect, and I gradually progressed from the cheapest to the three sets. and ended up purchasing these. In a matter of minutes, you'll have your new system up and running. Then I lost my balance and fell off my bike. ON THE OTHER HAND, IT WASN'T INTENDED. They did a fantastic job, too. Without a doubt, I was able to save my clutch handle. It is definitely worth the extra $30 or so.
The handguards have made a big difference in my life. They will undoubtedly last a long time. They're very sturdy thanks to the aluminum bar inside. It was simple to install once I decided to go with the non-invasive option. method using a steel handlebar There are two ways to put these things together, and I had no idea what metal my bars were made of. Because the inside diameter of the handlebar ends was too small, I couldn't use the steel bar method. These guards are labeled "x-" and are available for purchase. They were advertised as "strong," but when I received them, they were simply labeled as rally pro. When I contacted Acerbis, they confirmed that they were the same ones. I'm not sure why "x-" is used in this context. "Strong" isn't in the title, but it is on the package. Mine is mounted on a 2018 Yamaha YZ250F. The throttle isn't dangling in any way. There are no wires or cables in the way of the mounting hardware that comes with the package.
More times than I can count, I've crashed my dual sport bike into these. Some were taken while parked, while others were driven at speeds of up to 40 mph. They get scratched, but they don't move much. They do, however, protect the motorcycle from other types of damage, and the guards manage to take the brunt of the abuse. They'll need to be re-installed now and then. re-positioned and re-installed The only flaw I can find with this product is that it tightens after an impact, and it's so minor that it's barely worth mentioning. There hasn't been any permanent damage yet, and I've had them for 13 months at the time of writing this review.
If you're looking for a stress reliever, these are the ones to go with. On my 2017 Husqvarna FE450 with Protaper bars, I installed them. The insert for the "taper" in the bars is included with these Rally Pro guards. You should take your time and prepare ahead of time. Before you tighten them up, make sure they fit. When it comes to installing these on your bike, experience helps, but if you take your time, you'll be happy with the outcome, as I am.

Protaper bars were installed on my drz400sm. Because the protapers are smaller in diameter, they had to be sawed off a little when mounting them over the bars and drilled inside the bar ends. But they were snug and looked great, so I dumped my bike in some tight trails and they did their job! Brush guards are also present through the low branches of the trees.
