*I was skeptical at first when I purchased a set of rear shocks for my 2006 GSXR 600
Purchase of a cheaper rear set has made me rest assured. Woodcraft, attack performance, and vortex were initially on my list, but I did not want to spend more than $350 on them Sets for the rear cost 450 dollars. My first thought was that I had read some forums on cheaper rear sets and that these weren't So, I decided to give them a shot. Upon first impressions, they appear to be strong and sturdy, and of relatively good quality. After installing both sides of the sensors today, it went pretty smoothly, only the rear brake light sensor went not so smoothly. There is a spring that needs to be cut to the appropriate length, but it is quite simple. Nonetheless, the bracket it connects to on the pedal is extremely thin and bends in several places. Aside from that, the cheap Allen head screws don't tighten the bracket properly to the pedal. It still worked, but I had to do a few tweaks. As of now I have not ridden with them, so I am planning on doing a review after I do.
Also, these are the exact same rearsets as the Hotbodies that sell for $300.
There are barely enough threads on the two pieces of hardware for them to even catch each other. It is not recommended that you use the included hardware unless you want to lose a rear set and drag your foot at high speeds across the ground. Immediately go to the hardware store and buy bolts that are 5mm longer. The hardware included in this version is not all. If you haven't already done so, I would strongly suggest that you use some blue loctite as well to secure any loose screws. Although they offer a more comfortable ride, I would have expected to be able to bolt them on and be on my way sooner.
This is a good item. It looks good on the bike, but there are two problems with the rear brake spring, it causes a lot of discomfort, and the pegs are too short. The pegs do not rest properly on the bike.
I liked them There were a few dents in the box due to it being shipped loose in a box, but not too bad for a used/open box.
In order to fit the 06 and 07 models, you'll need a drill. Considering how much they cost, they are ridiculous. It is even more ridiculous that there are no instructions on how to use them. They are mostly good to me, though.
