A number of different stores told me it didn't exist. I even reached out in order to find another model rod and buy one that was a little bit longer, but all of them told me it wouldn't They're idiots! You might want to make the linkage rod a little bit longer if you need it. The solutions offered by these companies are perfect. These shoes fit perfectly and they're very well made.
I gave it 5 stars because they are really well made and look great, but they did not work for me because the threads are small, 24 (fine). There are a lot of aftermarket shift rods out there that work with that, but they don't fit Harley Davidson As an example, the Harley Davidson Slotted Black Anodized Gear Shift Linkage Part Number 33745-B will suffice (Coarse) 18 threads make up thread 09 of the set. The end result was that I bought one. 5/16" 18 thread coupling nuts and 5/16" open ended rods from Grainger in black powder coating are needed to make the coupling nuts fit the rods. My search for a 5/16-inch diameter screwdriver led me to Amazon I was looking for a 24" extension for my Griot's 3" polisher when I came across this. I. We begin with As for the 5", it was bent, so i could not use it on the polisher. However, the 2" fits perfectly! 5 inches is fine. 1 inch is perfect. In spite of the very slight bend in it, 5" would still be adequate for a motorcycle.
I purchased these as an extension for my Diamond machine. Both the longer and short polish machines were bent right out of the box, though the longer one was in good condition.
There are metric measurements here, If your shift linkage is metric, then you can use it for Harley-Davidson. Despite being thin, chrome is hard to work with. You should take care when tightening.
I discovered that my shift linkage was aftermarket, so I wasn't able to adjust my shifter completely so that the case would pass over it. I had plenty of space to spare for the extension of this linkage! I was able to save the day thanks to this piece!.
It's like it's supposed to be.
