As for taking off the old mid pegs, that was a pain on the exhaust side because I had to take off the muffler tube for the front cylinder. Aside from that it was fairly straightforward. While the directions are a bit sparse since it is just a schematic and does not label anything, if you are mechanically inclined you should be able to only thing I don't like about them is that they feel flimsy when you put more weight on them than you would for casual riding and pressing hard on the shifter feels flimsy, but just resting your feet on them feels great. They provided me with a great deal of confidence in the event that I had to crash at low speed in an intersection. The shifter side peg and mount took a big hit, but did not break. There wasn't any snapping or breaking of the piece. There was a slight bend in it and that was it. It didn't even break or deform because the connecting rod used to connect the arm to the shifter was intact. There was only one damage to the primary case, since I broke my shifter shaft inside. The kit is all in all great.

My Harley 1200N rattles and rolls, so some of the bolts fall out, so I have to secure them with locking nuts and thread glue for them to stay.

I am not comfortable with the Mounts, they feel like they will fall from the ground. I went torked down way too much movement in controls (I weigh 150 pounds). I won't be bringing them on my ride, but the rest of the kit looks great. The spring clips were literally too large to fit the shafts, so they had to be replaced.

The fit is great, and the look is fantastic. The installation instructions could be better and it would have been nice to have a parts listing so that you would be able to identify the part.

I got it for a test drive and, while the engine looks relatively new, the shifter side was rubbing on the engine and causing serious damage to it within an eighth of a mile.

He flexed like a crazy man. If your life is important to you, I would not recommend it. I think keeping the mid controls would be a waste of money.
