How does this fit a Jonway 150 cc scooter from 2012?

It didn't work on mine. When you pick one out, be sure to measure the length of the shaft where the half gear is located. As for mine, the Kickstart was too short and would not kick because it sat flush against the housing. It was slightly longer than the other one

I bought this to replace a worn starter gear that was causing a problem (the starter lever would get stuck when I tried to start my car)

If you don't know what goes where and how it all goes you'd be wise to search YouTube for installation videos before beginning the rebuild since it can be confusing if you don't know where things go To ensure that the parts are properly lubricated before installation, you should keep some moly grease on hand. Thank goodness the gearbox assembly was reinstalled without a hitch, and it now operates perfectly This bike is now easier to start. Keep in mind that most GY6 bikes come with both electric and kick start gears, and the kick start isn't intended for regular use but rather as a backup in case the battery runs out or the electric starter breaks. Your bike's gears will be damaged if you frequently kick start i. e. kick it even before you start it. My gy6 has been with me for close to 5 years I've been driving for 6 years and 6500 miles now, and I continually have to kick myself Although I usually start it in the winter, this was the first time I had to replace the kickstart and I hope they last me at least another 5 years.

I like the style but the length is a problem

It sits flush against the belt cover so it scrapes against it, allowing its foot to have no room to push it You will be surprised at how small the shaft is that the kick start mounts to, as it is much smaller than the one on my bike.

I just got it today and installed There is no more movement after 5 cranks. The kick start on my car has gotten stuck and is making a grinding noise. I cannot operate it anymore. It makes me sad to be.
