It had previously been sold. There are parts of the box that have been Ties are cut on the zip ties. However, there was no damage to the unit. This product does not come with installation instructions, but is relatively self-explanatory. It's not a fast and easy install, the cotter pin on the brake master is difficult to remove and the brake pedal is in the way when the assembly is being installed. In order to get on, some items need to be removed and loosened. The rewards of patience are worth waiting for. When the installation is complete, the effort is well worth it. Adding this to all touring models is a great idea! This is a highly recommended product.

After removing the floorboard, you'll need to loosen the top bolt and remove the two lower bolts before you're able to swing the crash bar forward. In order to get to the cotter pin, I removed the master cylinder bolts and slid it slightly forward. If I didn't do this, I wouldn't have been able to get to it. This is what the HD should be installed with. Those who are six feet or taller will want to own this item. It is a product of exceptional design and manufacture. longer length really helps make it easier to get your foot up on it, and the pedal is lowered a notch as a result. I really like the extra length on the floorboard since it gives my Road King Special just a bit more space.
