There is a difference in the thickness of the cable compared with the original equipment on the Yamaha 1998

This is a new hand brake cable for our 1998 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4, this cable is longer and the end, which attaches to the brake drum, is smaller in diameter than the original, making the tention spring for the original cable impossible to use, this cable is also thinner.

For the money, this is a decent part

There was no washer included with the cable to fix the spring to the lever of the rear brake caliper. The one I had laying around was just what I needed. In all other respects, the item fitted and worked perfectly.
