I had issues with using this part the brake line on my Polaris 1999 sportsman 500 was original and would not fit this part. So, I stopped buying the brake parts online because I had to many returns. I also used the original part number when searching for the part. The OEM part seemed to fit my needs, so I went with it.
I like it a lot

The item was purchased for a Polaris Sportsman 500 from 2009. It was a metric fitting that was supplied with the brake line, but the brake line at the rear is 3/8-inch The English fitting is 24 inches. You may benefit from an AGS BLF-55 if you are having this problem Use a 31C fitting that you can purchase on Amazon or from your local auto parts store in place of the one that was supplied. Each is about $3 and is about the size of a quarter Brake line adapter with a diameter of 24 mm to 10 mm in metric. The uncut end of the string was cut off Used the crush washer along with the 10mm tip after cutting the threaded portion off (since it was too long otherwise). I did not have to cut the plunger even though it looked a bit long. Although I'm not sure whether pedal travel can be adjusted, I am sure there is. Rotating the reservoir fitting allows you to place it exactly where you need it. You are ready to go when you flush, fill, and bleed the image.
Earlier last night, I had taken the time to install the rear brake master cylinder I purchased from I was able to strip the threads after spending 1/2 hour and I can tell this will not fit the brakeline compression nut on my 1999 Sportman 500. cleaned the threads to be sure they would have a good seal, however the brake nipple threads on the new one were too small. It took about half a turn to turn the brakeline nut before it stopped turning. I took the old neck from the old cylinder, but it didn't fit the new one. I thought I was doing something wrong so I took the old neck from the cylinder. I am sorry, but I can't return it because I damaged it trying to fit it.
Even when completely tightened, the line did not reach the bottom of the part, which makes it impossible to seal the inset without the included adapter. The line fit directly to the part, but even completely tightened, it was unable to Every time I pushed the brake pedal, brake fluid sprayed out.
Says it will fit a Trailblazer 250, but it seems to be a different part (see picture). On the right is the part of my quad that came with it, on the left is this one. Can you see how flat the tip is on this one? It is unusable.
During the installation of my 2005 Polaris 400 sportsman's master cylinder, I encountered some difficulties. I found that the brake line threads were incorrect at first, but it was not a big deal as I switched the fitting out at the end of the master cylinder. When the brake pedal is stepped on after all has been bled, you see a geyser of fluid in the reservoir and If you are going to spend the extra hundred on an OEM part, I recommend not wasting your time or money.
The product fits like an original.
In the end, I had to drill the mounting holes out because the factory bolts couldn't fit in them. Otherwise, everything else worked well and the rear brakes were able to be engaged. This will do nicely if you want a cheap fix to get by.
There was no difference in the body of the master cylinder between a 98 Scrambler 400 and a 98 Scrambler 400. By swapping the new seals onto my old piston and putting it into the new body, I was able to make it work. It works again now that the brake pedal is working. A star was docked for incorrect application listing, but it is still much cheaper than the actual Polaris part with a little work.
