Learn how to install correctly by reading this! First and foremost, these low-cost alternatives have blown me away! They are fantastic - The color matches perfectly, and the fairings themselves are beautiful; there are no cheap-feeling issues, and the installation hardware is adequate
5/5

The vent lever has a solid feel to it and does not feel cheap. If you require assistance with the installation, please do not hesitate to contact me. br>br>Instructions (adapted from the Harley-Davidson Service Manual):
1. Remove the 10mm bolt in the back of the glove box by opening it and removing the 10mm bolt. Now is the time to remove the front fairing cap - If you do have to fight it, STOP and double-check that you've removed the correct bolt!br>2. Remove the two 10mm flange nuts as well as the upper clamp while the cap is removed. Inside the glove box, two studs protrude and are secured by a plastic clamp. it should be removed
3. Place one of the supplied band clamps around the lower portion of the engine guard, with the flat side facing the back of the bike and the holes in the clamp hanging below the engine guard. You may need to pry it open slightly to get it around the guard. Squeeze it back together a little, put a screwdriver in the holes, and get them to line up as best you can - More than that, don't mess with it!
4. Attach the upper clamp to the fairing and secure it to the engine guard. The stud-studded plastic clamp goes through the two holes in the glove box, then the upper clamp goes around the upper portion of the engine guard, and finally the two 10mm flange nuts. HAND TIGHTEN ONLY! Later, you'll have to adjust the fairing's position.
5. Place the washer on the bolt and then slide it into the hole in the bottom of the fairing for the lower clamp. Place the bolt through the clamp's holes after rotating it. TO ALIGN ALL THREE HOLES, YOU MAY NEED TO REMOVE THE BOLT AND USE A SCREWDRIVER. Start tightening the 13mm nut on the bolt, and it will take care of the rest. RIGHT NOW, HAND TIGHTEN ONLY!
6. Now you must slide the fairing away from the engine as far as possible. Tighten the 10mm upper clamp flange nuts to 30-percent torque after that. 35 INCH- POUNDS. Lower the bolt to 90 degrees and tighten it. ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY INCHES.
7. Replace the outer cap over the upper clamp on the fairing. The cap is put on by rotating it from the outside in - Place the lower corner of the fairing against the lower corner of the engine and rotate it toward the engine; it should snap into place.
8. Install the 10mm bolt through the glove box and into the cap. Adjust to a 30-degree angle. 35 INCH- POUNDS.
9. Rep on the other side. br>br>If you don't have a torque wrench and aren't sure what 30-pound torque means, consult a professional. 35 INCH- When the nut or bolt feels like it's tightening, turn it BARELY to snug it up. Just a smidgeon tighter than that, and you've got 100 INCH- POUNDS. All nuts and bolts should be secured with blue loctite.

Installed on a stock 2015 Streetglide, no issues, good fit
4/5

In conclusion, they are appealing to me. They are mine to keep. It has a nice look to it, and the paint matches Vivid Black perfectly. br>br>There are no instructions, so you'll have to figure it out on your own or find a youtube video with installation instructions. br>br>Removing the outer shell to mount these is a (minor) pain, and you'll need a socket extension. Because the U clamp is too long to mount the nuts up front, you'll need a deep socket or don't fully mount your socket. The bottoms don't quite line up with the lower highway bars (this could be due to my highway pegs' fitment). Because the bottom mounts don't line up, they're useless, and the bracket is the wrong shape as a result of the misalignment. The lowers, on the other hand, remain in place without them - So there's no big deal there (although you can get them to rotate if you push hard enough in the right place, which isn't a big deal either). In the worst-case scenario, I'll go to the hardware store and buy a new bracket and bolt, as several reviews have suggested. br>br>The lowers are compatible with my highway pegs (though I cannot guarantee that they will be compatible with all highway pegs). My pegs are as follows: On hot days, I used to run soft lowers, but I stopped because of engine (and leg) heat. I now use these, primarily because of the vents that allow air to circulate. On a cold night, I shut the vent and appreciated the extra warmth on my right inner thigh. I open the vents on hot days. br>br>The top compartment latches are fine, but I'm not sure how long they'll last, and I'm not sure what you'll put in there, but I suppose you can. Opening and closing vents while riding is an interesting experience because you have to bend down and struggle to do so because the vent levers are difficult to move (left is open, right is closed on both sides). br>br>With these lowers, the wind characteristics of my bike have changed - from a little choppy to a little smooth; It's fine, but it's not the same as using soft lowers. However, with soft lowers, it felt more like a sail, and the air flows differently and over them (providing better aerodynamics). I have the impression that my bike can go faster on the highway (this is purely subjective). When I measure gas mileage again, I'll see what happens. br>br>If your bike tips over on its side, these lowers are likely to sustain some damage, so keep that in mind.

It appears to be a good product for a much lower price than other options
5/5

Edit: They go with the heavy breather's compact element, but you can't get to the glove box, which I knew already. Rides great; time will tell how well they hold up, but so far I'm very pleased with my purchase! br>I took the left one out of the box today and installed it on my 2015 Road Glide Special. Vivid Black is a fantastic match! I paid a little more than $50 for the ticket. I paid 00 for these because I had a gift card, and I'm not going to cry if they get hit by rocks. It's currently blizzarding outside, and I'm still waiting for my compact heavy breather element to be installed on the right side, so I can't give it a rating just yet. The clamps at the bottom do fit. Install them first, and then "set" them with a long screwdriver. If you do a search, you'll find videos.

The 2020 Road Glide has been lowered
5/5

This is fantastic! They arrived in excellent condition and ahead of schedule. These were simple to put together and turned out beautifully. I would recommend these to anyone looking for high-quality lowers at a reasonable price; they feel great on the highway at 70 mph and haven't affected the handling of my bike; and you can have them on your bike and running down the road in under an hour! If I had to pick a flaw, it would be that they did not come with any installation instructions, so I had to rely on YouTube to answer any questions I had. I had no second thoughts about purchasing them and would do so again.

Harley takes a step back
5/5

It came with mounting hardware and extra snaps, which made it an excellent purchase. To get a tight fit on top, you'll need to use two-way tape on the crash bars and have some larger washers on hand, but for less than 70 bucks, it's worth it. Even with having to do a few extra things to make them work, it only took about an hour to install the lowers. 00 dollars compared to over 300 for Harley ones I'm extremely happy and expected to do some minor engineering to make them work perfectly.
