Although it was too wide for my 2016 FZ 07, I was still able to use it. For the price, it's worth a try.

There is a specific part for the year 2018 in this part It appears there are nine XSR700s involved, so perhaps that is what caused the problem. The only minor complaint I have is There is a glossy black coating on the screen. When I saw all the black on the Yamaha was matte black, I had to ask myself what the hell? The gloss is still nice, even though it looks dull.
Because of its quality and durability, this grill gets two stars even though, if it fit correctly, it would have been five stars. The problem is that it does not fit, so when the screws were tightened it warped. My 2020 MT-X also suffered some damage to the front turn signals as a result of this. Because they're screwed into the radiator with the bent grill (it's too long), they cannot be removed.
It was however too large to fit on without having to bend it myself when installing. On one end, I was able to screw it under the radiator cover just fine, but on the other end, I had to remove the radiator cover on the left side as it passed the radiator by about an inch. It took me some time to bend the left side of the product so it would fit In the end, it ended up aligned further to the left than the center, but the deviation was not too noticeable, so I decided to keep it rather than have to return Rather than spending on stuff you don't need, save your money.
During our testing we found that the frame came loosely clamped to the backside of the grill, causing I had issues with the fitment on the left side of the bike because of the mounting bracket on the left side of the bike. This grille shouldn't have cost more than $15.
Rocks are less likely to reach the screen when the screen is of decent quality. The tabs on one side are about 3/8" too wide for the FZ07 so you have to bend them on one side to make it work. This is a good buy for the money.
On the 2017 Yamaha fz07 with factory hardware, the kit installs in less than 5 minutes. There is no doubt that the black finish on the bike looks great and seems durable enough to repel.
This is a great value and looks great.
