The 2008 Ford Ranger is not compatible with this part

too small to fit on the driver's side. I should have listened to those who also purchased this part and returned it after using it for just a day. Several people suggested that I order the driver's side driver's side, which can be flipped so that it can be used on the passenger side. It does not fit a 2008 Ford Ranger, in which case it gets a 0/1 start.

The full flap I originally had was used by Ford in lieu of the full flap Instead of using the full flap that I initially intended to use, Ford chose to use this

It might be better to flip the flap on the passengers' side around and use that instead, as others have suggested.

OEM replacement parts should not even come close to this. It is far too far away to serve any purpose. Just awful -- it is probably only a tenth of the size of the ORM part.
