The reviews on generic parts for particular bikes are hard to come by, so I'm doing my best to assist with this guide. My 2008 KLR650 needed new windshield and fairing fasteners. I used these to replace them. All KLR650s from the second generation should be compatible with them. The 4 screws that attach the windshield to the cowling and the 2 screws at the bottom front of the cowling are all the ones that need replacing. The fitting and quality of the hardware equals that of the factory assembly. A difference is that the factory screw is a phillips head, while the difference is an allen It makes no real difference from a practical standpoint, and it looks better to me than the previous option.
It is very disappointing to have to wait for more than a week and still they screw my order up. You see, I received the 8 bolts, 8 nylon flat washers, but not the 8 rubber nut wellnuts. That means I The last time I sent you a review I found out that I was missing some items, but they fixed it for me. I love that there are metal components rather than plastic, such high.
I found it to fit perfect and work perfectly with It would have been perfectly fine to use the supplied bolts instead of the factory ones, but I decided to use the factory bolts.
Worked great for me. I installed these on my Yamaha FZ6 in lieu of the original hardware. Leaving a few spares behind. The bolts and washers have an outside diameter that is a bit smaller than the Phillips head screws used in the factory. The fact that they are Allen heads makes me happy. They are easy to strip out of the factory. There is no gap between the glass and the viewer.
I did not have to change the thread pitch or the bits, so I just reused the rubber portion of the original cbr.
According to another review below, I bought this part based on the fact that it fits another bike's front fairing. However, mine does not. There is no resistance to the Wellnut because it is too small. When I do try to screw in my windshield, the extended round top usually gets pushed into the hole itself. Getting the bottom screws to screw in was a bit difficult, but when the wellnut was tried to stay in the hole on the fairing, it wouldn't stay in.
The condition of the gun is good as new. It looks like OE, and can be installed skill level 1 with a little.
It has a good price. We are considering buying more just to have them on hand. . I had a great experience with it. I have a 2005 CBR600RR and this product fits it. A hexagonal socket is used for the screws that are made from metal.
