It took me a while to use them but ultimately gave up since it was more trouble than it was The nut plates fit on the fairing. If you put these in the holder for whatever project you have they work beautifully, but be aware that rubber well nuts like these fatigue over time and become hard to remove, and so cannot be reused. That's why I wanted cheap.
It just so happened that there were a lot of these in the package, so I just replaced them with the ones that were bad. They seem to have held up well after being replaced all of the time. If I was going racing every month and taking off the fairings every time, I would not expect them to hold up. I bought a bunch of these to put on my 2010 ZX-10R fairings This is 10R. I would prefer for them to crush down more than they do, but they still hold with no issues. It's my hope that the rubber will soften up a little bit as time goes on, so they are able to squeeze together a bit.
The mounting wellnuts for the windshield on the used Versys 650 I recently purchased tore apart when I repositioned them to another mounting hole when I was trying to adjust the windshield. In the meantime, these were available on Amazon after I had waited 19 days for them to arrive (my dealer failed to notify me they had been delivered). Then I inserted them into the remaining eight holes and tightened them up to make them expand. It went well for them-- There was not a single threaded insert that separated. The only thing I had to do was hold some of them in place as I expanded them they all are now working fine. I can now reposition my windshield whenever I like without worrying that I'll ruin them. There are four "spares" in my possession. This is all for 1/8th the price of what the dealer would charge.
There is no way to get the sleeve. My BMW is totally unusable with this. There is no reason for the sleeve to be so weak even if it fits through There is something wrong with the sleeves. They are the right size, but the sleeves are very thin and flimsy.
I suggest purchasing the 10 pack only. I think the nuts are way better than the 25 pack
by far the best I've tried. Nut stays in place (as opposed to Chinese versions, where the nut just starts spinning after a I've ordered 25 packs I'll update you when they arrive We had a total of 25 packs and those looked very different, looking much more like chinesse crap and the rubber peeled off I am ordering another ten pack to compare once more. Here's the update I agree that 10 packs hold more value than 25, each (10 pack) look better than the other. The right photo shows a wellnut in a 10 pack, the left shows a wellnut in a six pack There are 25 packs in the.
In addition to being able to fasten motorcycle windshields to the frame, these can be used for securing other items as well. •*. *. > We had trouble finding it in our Fastenal store, even though we searched for it online. •*. *. > •*. *. > A hole is drilled to receive the threaded end. •*. *. > Ultimately, the flanged end of the assembly faces out or up and holds it securely. •*. *. > If you use a 5mm bolt, it will compress/squeeze the rubber sleeve that secures the nut to the windshield or whatever you are using. •*. *. > A week without Amazon Prime, the vendor's delivery was about as fast as it could be.
My Honda Africa Twin had a shredded well nut that needed replacing so this was the perfect replacement. My spares fit perfectly, and now I have plenty of them. Thanks a lot!.
I could not be happier with the way this Trying to remove the original was too tough and I ruined it. It is handy to carry a bag around with you.
