This cushion should fit your 01 because it is a universal cover that will strap to the seat of various motorcycle models. It fits my 07 HARLEY ELG as well as my 2005 Yamaha Vstar Classic.
Fantastic product.

I also bought a 3D mesh seat cover, which means that instead of just the pad, my entire seat is covered in mesh. For a neat appearance, the pad is hidden beneath the cover. I got the same comfort for half the price when I added both items together. br>br>The key to airpods is to barely inflate them so air can move between pockets as you adjust position. The pad's sole purpose would be to keep you from falling asleep in your seat. Where you are seated, there is 3mm of air.
I averaged 600 miles per day for a week and a half, and it would not have happened if it hadn't been for this. It's fantastic because it allows you to change air pressures on the fly without having to pull over. I didn't even use the straps to secure my seat. Simply place it on the seat, sit down, and walk away. I would alternate 100 miles with the pad and then 100 miles with just the seat and never had any issues. Great customer service and great product. 7,000 miles and the pad is still as good as new.
The straps are not designed to fit a medium or small seat. Do not attempt to install using the included installation guide, if such a thing exists. The tiny blue area in the image is supposed to be how to install this. Unless you're sitting in a colossal chair. A small or medium seat will not be able to accommodate the straps. Furthermore, the seat slots do not obstruct the view. It must be crossed strapped as shown. br>br>I'm riding around town in a pretty comfortable seat, and I'm hoping to ride a couple hundred miles next weekend to see where I'm at. I figured I'd put up a review showing how to properly install the seat.
It's great for comfort, and I especially like it with BARLEY any air that's a little more squish: )br>br>EDIT REVIEWbr>br>AFTER A FEW MONTHS OF RIDING, IT HAD FINALLY FOUND ITSELF. I did ride it with a small amount of air in it, but I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. I can now fully inflate it, but it won't hold air for more than 5 minutes while I'm on it. I'm also a big guy, weighing in at 275 pounds. Not to disparage the product, but if you're looking for a low-cost cushion, this is it. However, I would recommend paying a little more for a gel one. I'm going to give it a shot. Maybe it's just time for a new seat.
It's very easy to use and comfortable. Long-distance highway rides are a dream. I ride a ST1100, and this only adds to how comfortable it is. The only thing I don't like about it is that it does exactly what you'd expect it to do: it gives you more height. It raises me slightly higher than the top of my windshield extension.
Even though my motorcycle comes with a wide and somewhat comfortable seat, this add-on helps for longer trips. Air pumping is simple and lasts for a reasonable amount of time before you need to add more air. Straps become loose very quickly, and this is something that needs to be improved. It's a good buy in general.
This is a fantastic addition, especially considering the price. Just as good Effective as a more expensive name brand, and it stays in place for a long time. It's adjustable, which allows me to adjust it as I ride, and it's made long rides a lot easier on my old tender talbone.
This chair, on the other hand, is fantastic, extremely comfortable, and simple to use. I highly recommend it.
