Yes, I installed one on my 2016 vulcan s abs 650, and my wife is very pleased with it. It's also very simple to set up.
This is a replacement part for an EN650 Vulcan S. The Z400 will not fit. If you require an OEM rear seat replacement for your Z400, please contact us directly.
This is for a Vulcan 650 S series, not a Vulcan 650.
It should fit on my 2020 Kawasaki Vulcan S without a problem.

It's exactly what it says on the tin. It's not particularly impressive, but it's from the original equipment manufacturer. I wish it was more secure (it's super easy to steal with just a single Allen key) and easier on the backside (after 50 miles, it's a little tough on the tailbone). I feel like I should get more than a pad on a metal support for the price, and then having to buy another part (passenger foot rests) separately adds to the pain. I'd be satisfied with the offer even if the two costs were combined and equaled the same amount.
In less than a minute, the system was up and running. 2 minutes, maybe? It has a good quality to it. I can't speak to the level of comfort because I'm looking for a lovely companion to accompany me in the future. I'll eventually inquire of her.
This was purchased for my 2020 Vulcan S. The seat has a longer reach. Yes, it will fit an extended reach seat, but because it will sit over the seat, it will not be the most comfortable when driving with your back all the way on it. It's ideal for a mid-reach seat; however, I had to return mine because I had an extended-reach seat. Everything is included, it is well packaged, and there are no issues. When it came to returning the package, I had no problems at all.
All that was required was to remove two bolts, place the back seats' mounting bracket on the front seats' back ring, and reattach the first bolt, then position the back seat and secure the back bolt.
It's a perfect match for the stock seat. Excellent craftsmanship. It's a little stiff, but that's to be expected when you get a new seat. I enjoy it because it allows my wife and me to go horseback riding together.
I haven't put it to much use yet, but it's a genuine Kawasaki part that went on without a hitch.
Easy to set up, and the quality appears to be good. I'm not sure how comfortable it would be to ride on it, but it feels good to the touch and has adequate padding.
