Questions & Answers

Is this something that would work on a BMW 1250gs?

I believe it will because it is a perfect fit for my Ducati Multistrada 1200S seat.

Is it possible to install this on a 2017 Africa Twin?

According to Airhawk, this one does fit.

Is this seat compatible with a BMW R1200GS?

My bike is a 2007 R1200R equipped with a Rick Mayer saddle. After breaking my hip, I had to replace my Saddle with an Airhawk. It sits comfortably on the saddle, and the shape is narrower in the front, where less coverage is required.

Would this be suitable for a passenger on a Harley-Davidson TriGlide?

I'm not sure, but it seems like it might be too small.

The cushion is very nice
4/5

Well- made. Changing air pressures pays off. I bought it out of curiosity, intending to use it with a sheepskin and some roller beads as well. People appear to either like or dislike these pillows. When I first tried it out, I had no idea what to expect, and I was let down. It's not as if you're on a magical carpet. But that isn't the point. br>br> Now that I've put a few hundred miles on mine, I've grown to love and appreciate it. To begin, you'll need to play around with the air pressures a little to get it just right for your body. In most cases, less air is preferable to more air. The magic of this thing isn't that you feel like you're sitting in a comfy lounge chair once you've done that; it's that you feel like you're sitting in a comfy lounge chair after you've done that. It's the fact that you don't feel like you're sitting on a rock after two hours on your bike. br>br>I like mine and use it all the time; if you buy one, spend some time fiddling with the air pressures until you find a setting that works for you. Then don't pass judgment on it based on a whirlwind tour of the city. Get out on the road and drive for a few hundred miles, and you'll be surprised that your buttocks aren't killing you. br>br>I'm on a Kawasaki Versys 1000LT from 2015. The rider is in a fairly upright position. I'm a tall man, and I've set up the bike so that it fits me comfortably right away. You might be disappointed if you put this cushion on your bike and expect it to solve basic ergonomic issues or do something special on short trips around town. You might enjoy it if you enjoy getting on a well-maintained bike and riding for a few hundred miles at a time. br>br>I give this cushion four out of five stars. It's a good product. made, but at $108 it's a risky bet for the majority of people. At $69. It would be a no-brainer to give it a five-star rating if it was 95.

I literally saved my @$$ by driving 800 miles round trip! I purchased this seat for my 2012 CBR1000RR in preparation for an 800-mile round trip from the San Francisco Bay Area to Los Angeles
5/5

br>Only back roads and as little as possible on freeways. It was a lifesaver to have this seat. I slid it over my stock seat and was able to walk at the end of the journey. br>br>The trick is to just fill it up enough to get your butt off the stock seat, so the air chambers can re-inflate. As you reposition yourself throughout the ride, distribute air to different pressure points; highly recommended!.

Battle-tested product a rough 10-year test Don't over-exert yourself on a day adventure ride for maximum comfort

inflate! Before going on a 10-day trip, I bought this. 1,900 per day This seat survived a mile trip on an adventure bike, which included not only pavement but also dirt, rock, bike drops, stick/branch pokes, and foul weather. I'm sure I wouldn't have enjoyed the trip nearly as much if it hadn't been for this product; it saved me from serious tailbone pain and other back-related issues. We drove an average of 100 miles per day for ten days in a row to put an end to the discomfort. br>br>It is recommended that you have this product barely inflated to get the most out of it. You don't want to go overboard with your preparations. It will be too hard to inflate and will not provide anything better than the seat if it is not inflated. Anywhere in the middle will feel squishy, and you'll find yourself swaying from side to side. the front and the sides- back, and air relocating to various parts of the air bag You'll get about 1/4" of air cushioning off the seat surface if you use just the right amount of air. br>br>I purchased a dual-fuel vehicle. I wanted a sport model that I could use on both my dirt bike, the KTM 450EXC, and my adventure bike, the KTM 950 Adventure. It has the shape of a cruiser saddle, but it was perfect for my ADV. I haven't tried it on the EXC yet.

It's no longer of the same high standard
3/5

For the past five years, I've been using an Airhawk motorcycle cushion. It was a huge step up from my old seat, and I really liked it. However, it began to leak air, so I went out and bought a replacement. The bladder's quality is noticeably lower than it was before. Second, when I received the new one, it began to leak air almost immediately (it had been torn/cut). I'm working with Airhawk to find a replacement and will post the results here once I have them.

Before you go out and buy a new seat, give it a shot
5/5

Prior to adding the Airhawk Dual Sport, I could only ride for about 50 miles before my Buell Ulysses' seat became unbearable. I had already purchased a second seat, but it wasn't much of a help. I believe the riding position played a role, but I had already made all of the changes I could in that area. br>br>So I ordered and received the airhawk the next day. I just got back from a 90-degree ride and I've never felt so good. It actually works! My seat is very easy to remove, so installation was simple. I followed the inflation instructions and was on my way. It felt strange at first, and I wasn't sure if I'd like it. But after a few stops and adjustments, I felt I had found the right air pressure for me. br>br>IT ONLY REQUIRES A SMALL AMOUNT OF AIR TO WORK, as many people have stated. It's not good to have too much of anything.

That wasn't exactly what I was hoping for
3/5

I chose one of these because I needed high-rated cushions to add to one of my bikes. The first piece of advice is to Don't put too much air in! It felt like I was sitting on a beach ball when I first filled it. I finally managed to fill it up to about a quarter of the way. I gave it a low score because it's not soft like memory foam or anything, but rather like one of those big yoga ball office chairs. On an office chair, that might be good for ergonomics, but not on a motorcycle. As I roll around on that thing around corners, I feel completely disconnected from the bike, and that isn't going to work. Furthermore, the price is extremely high, so it's a real bummer that I'll be ordering another seat cushion made of gel or foam and discarding this one.

I'm not sure how this product gets such a high score; it's a great idea, but it's a dangerous product
3/5

It's nearly impossible to stay balanced in the saddle during acceleration, deceleration, or any turning with this thing on. I experimented with various inflation rates. Unless it's completely deflated, doing anything other than cruising at a consistent speed becomes a battle for balance, rendering the product useless. existent. I'm perplexed as to how anyone could be satisfied with this product. The straps that hold it in place on the seat, as well as the extremely thin hook mechanism that connects one end to the other, are both of very low durability. br>Product advantages: the cover and bladder/nozzle assembly appear to be of good quality, but I only tried the product for about a week.
