Questions & Answers
The fact that you are overweight should not be a consideration. I discovered that the seat cushion provides the most comfort when it is slightly underinflated.
I'm not aware of a cover. This seat is one of our favorites because it makes the ride so relaxing.
Pump works with a USB connection and is fairly self-explanatory, though it does come with instructions.
I’m’not 100% sure without knowing what type of seat you have. I can tell you that it has elastic straps that wrap under the seat to keep it in place, so if your seat allows it, it should fit in no time. I wasn't impressed with the straps at first, as they seemed insufficient, but they've held up well so far. The air cushion is fantastic and did exactly what it was supposed to do; it is extremely comfortable.

This seat was delivered in two days from the seller! I was taken aback by its compressed size, but it inflates to a usable size, and through trial and error, I discovered that, contrary to popular belief, a partially-inflated balloon can be used. At 210 pounds, a filled cushion was not an option for me. The firmness of the cushion provided me with the most comfort. Because the seat in my Versys 300 is notoriously hard, any improvement is welcome. I had hoped for a higher level of comfort, but I'm happy with what I got. I haven't tried using water as a filler. Overall, this product lives up to the seller's claims, and I am pleased with it. I haven't yet taken it out in the rain, but based on what I've seen, I believe it will perform admirably. The seat has a great fit and stays in place.
BMW R1200GS and R1250GS models are compatible. I've owned a lot of bikes, but after long days of riding on my previous R1200gs and my current R1250gs, I've always had a lot of tailbone pain. This was purchased to relieve pressure on my tailbone, which it does admirably. It does not, however, work well with the stock seat. The underlying issue has been that the seats are very soft and feel great on the showroom floor and when you ride away, but they are terrible for all-day riding. My riding experience improved significantly after purchasing a firmer aftermarket seat, but tailbone pain still exists. br>br>By combining this with the firmer aftermarket seat, the problem appears to have been resolved. br>br>In the end, it accomplishes what it sets out to do, and it does so admirably. However, if your issue is that your current seat is too soft, this won't help. If your issue is lower back / tailbone pain caused by the firmness of your current seat and/or ergonomics, this should help significantly alleviate the problem, if not completely eliminate it. br>br>This was well worth the money, and I would purchase it again.
After getting a new bike this year and finding the seat to be unbearable, I decided to purchase this. I was considering purchasing new seats ($600) when I decided to try this. gratification in a flash: ) Despite traveling over 10,000 miles this summer, no additional air was required. I did not attempt to add water, but it appears to be a useful feature if riding in hot weather.
Cons: If it rains, it stays wet, the straps that secure it get twisted up (which has no effect on the seat comfort), and the seat must be removed to remove it. I believe it would be simple to alter for easier removal, perhaps using velcro instead of the straps? This product has exceeded my expectations in every way.
I bought it because I was using a gel pad and the sun would heat it up and make it too hot to set on when I stopped using it. I installed this on my Goldwing motorcycle; it appears to be comfortable to set on, but I have yet to go for a long ride; previously, I had used a gel pad under a sheepskin. It comes with elastic straps to keep it in place, but they appear to be cheap and may not last long. They are, however, working for the time being. It says you can fill it with water, but I'm afraid I'd have the same issue with the water heating up as I did with the gel pad.
On a 300-mile ride, my stock seat broke my tailbone, so this cushion comes in handy. You can adjust the pressure and use water to your liking. The kit also includes a water pump.
This cushion is the REAL DEAL, despite the fact that it is too thin. To avoid leaks and wear, the manufacturer went to school and made significant improvements. It doesn't have the same aesthetic appeal as the AirHawk, but at this price, who cares? br>I have a Honda Goldwing that I ride and put a lot of miles on every year. This product is also being purchased by my Harley-Davidson friends.
After a few rides, I've noticed that the back strap won't stay in place behind/under the seat. Even while driving down the road, it's very simple to add or release extra air. It's very useful for a quick fix on needed tailbone support and cushion.
I just got back from a 4500 mile ride through New Mexico and Colorado. The air cushion proved to be beneficial. I discovered that by adding or releasing air, it can be adjusted to the rider's preference. At first, there was too much air in it, but after releasing a lot of it, it worked much better. It was a good deal for me financially. I don't think anyone who rides that many miles in one day (for example, 1100 miles) will be unaffected by back pain.
